Seat Purpose
The Treasurer is responsible for maintaining the financial health of the association. This includes managing the organization's finances and budget, invoicing members for dues, making payments for events and operational expenses, and ensuring the collection of sponsorship payments. Oversight of all financial transactions and reporting is a key duty, ensuring transparency and accountability.

Warren Goosen

Bio Warren Goosen is an Assurance Senior Manager in the RSM Cayman Office. He has over 10 years of experience in the asset management sector in South Africa and the Cayman Islands. Warren currently serves as Treasurer of the Blockchain Association of the Cayman Islands. Warren has extensive experience in the audit of various financial services entities, including, DAOs/Foundations, hedge funds and private equity vehicles operating across various asset classes such as digital assets, traditional listed equities and venture capital. Other notable experiences include captive insurance and fiduciary services. He is part of the digital asset audit team of RSM Cayman and has extensive experience in the audit of various digital asset funds across several different investment strategies. With his extensive knowledge of digital asset markets, track record of being the lead and implementation of several Firm projects and processes, and passion to promote the digital asset space in the Cayman Islands, he believes that he will continue to add significant value as Treasurer of BACI and establish himself as a key member of the BACI team. Bio As Independent Director, Charl oversees a diverse portfolio of funds with a broad range of investment strategies, including hedge funds, funds of funds, private equity funds and private credit funds. Charl joined Waystone in 2022 from KPMG in the Cayman Islands where he gained five years of experience in the role of Audit Manager. Charl was responsible for reviewing detailed audit work of various Cayman Islands and international investment structures and related vehicles and reviewing their financial statements in accordance with US GAAP and International Accounting Standards. Previously, Charl worked as an Audit Senior at KPMG, South Africa. Charl has a detailed knowledge of the accounting standards of the United States and internationally (IFRS) as well as the regulatory and reporting requirements for companies registered with the Cayman Islands Monetary Authority (CIMA) and other international regulators. Charl is a qualified Chartered Accountant (CA(SA)) and holds both an Honors and Bachelor’s degree from the University of Pretoria, majoring in Accounting, Financial Management, Auditing and Tax. He is also a registered Director with CIMA.

Bio Paul Muspratt is a Chartered Accountant (CA) with over 25 years of international financial services experience, including senior roles in banking, custody, and corporate advisory across the Cayman Islands and the UK. As Managing Director of wb.group, he leads a boutique Cayman-based advisory firm specialising in company management, accounting, compliance, and governance solutions for a range of clients — from investment structures to Web3-native companies. Paul is currently completing an MSc in Blockchain and Digital Currency, deepening his expertise in decentralised systems, tokenomics, and crypto-asset regulation. His rare combination of traditional financial acumen and active engagement in Web3 ecosystems enables him to offer both strategic insight and disciplined financial oversight. He is a member of the Cayman Islands Institute of Public Accountants (CIIPA), the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Scotland (ICAS), and serves on the Executive Committee of the Cayman Islands Compliance Association (CICA), reflecting a strong commitment to regulatory integrity in the digital asset space.
