Seat Purpose
The Chair of Events is responsible for leading the organization of monthly BACI events, coordinating events around visiting clients with member input, and arranging BACI presence at international conferences. A primary duty is spearheading the effort to organize a major conference in the Cayman Islands. This involves leading weekly planning meetings and guiding the events committee to ensure a successful event, encompassing all aspects of organization and hosting. The Chair is also responsible for forming a subcommittee by selecting five additional members, subject to the final approval of the committee.

Daniel Parsons
- Bio I joined the Highvern Cayman office in early 2023, bringing seven years of financial‑services experience. After qualifying as a Chartered Accountant (CA(SA)) in Johannesburg, I spent three years in London audit before relocating to Cayman. At Highvern I focus on trust administration and corporate services for crypto‑related foundation companies.
- Reason I have been to most of the events, so would like to try my hand at organising a couple.
Niloofar Entezari
- Bio
Niloofar is a senior associate in our Corporate Department based in the Cayman Islands. Niloofar regularly advises on cross‑border mergers and acquisitions, joint ventures, equity capital markets and other corporate transactions. She also regularly advises leading investment banks, investment managers and private‑equity houses with respect to the structuring and formation of funds (including cryptocurrency funds) and ongoing downstream activities.
Niloofar’s practice further involves advising clients on the establishment and structuring of foundation companies and providing ongoing legal and regulatory input on a wide range of FinTech and blockchain projects.

Charith Seneviratne
- Bio Charith has over seven years of corporate restructuring, insolvency and advisory experience across the sectors of financial services, digital assets, construction, transport and logistics, hospitality and mining. He has consulted on engagements in Australia and the Cayman Islands which often involved complex financial investigations, asset recovery and litigation across multiple jurisdictions. Charith is a member of Teneo’s Digital Assets and Blockchain team and has completed multiple crypto‑related certifications, including the Chainalysis Reactor Certification (CRC) and Chainalysis Investigation Specialist Certification (CISC). Charith is a committee member of the Cayman Islands chapter of the Crypto Fraud and Asset Recovery network (CFAAR), as well as a board member, secretary and social‑committee member of the Cayman Islands chapter of the Association of Certified Fraud Examiners (ACFE).
- Reason I’ve coordinated CFAAR and ACFE programmes and a BACI fireside chat. That planning experience, plus my investigative mindset and crypto enthusiasm, will translate into seamless logistics and engaging content for BACI.
Kelly Robinson
- Bio I am currently employed at Marfire where I provide independent directorship services. I am a South‑African‑qualified chartered accountant CA(SA). Prior to joining Marfire, I was an Audit Manager at KPMG. I have a passion for financial reporting and regulatory compliance. I am actively involved in the Cayman Islands’ Web3 community, and I serve on the 100 Women in Finance Committee, striving to promote diversity in the industry. Originally from South Africa, I have called the Cayman Islands home since December 2021.
- Reason A decade of organising events for Marfire, 100 Women in Finance, KPMG and Deloitte has given me trusted vendors, budget discipline and an eye for detail—skills I’ll bring to BACI gatherings.
Sameer Patel
- Bio
Sameer Patel, ACA – Director at ht.digital | Web3 Strategist | Former KPMG Auditor
Sameer is a Cayman‑based financial consultant and Director at ht.digital, a Web3‑native advisory and operations firm specialising in DAO governance, tokenomics and digital‑asset management. He leads strategic initiatives across the decentralised ecosystem, helping foundations, Layer 1s and emerging ventures scale responsibly and sustainably. With over eight years of experience—including five at KPMG in London and Cayman—Sameer brings deep knowledge of IFRS, UK GAAP, US GAAP and complex audit processes. He is known for forging high‑value industry relationships and representing his firm internationally at major blockchain events such as Token 2049 and Solana Breakpoint. He is currently preparing for the Directors Education Accreditation Program to strengthen his governance acumen. - Reason As a CA and Web3 adviser who regularly speaks at Token 2049, Solana Breakpoint and similar forums, I can leverage my global network to secure top speakers, craft relevant panels and deliver a polished flagship BACI conference.
Justin Wretham
- Bio An experienced transactional lawyer with a career spanning over ten years across four jurisdictions, Justin quickly became immersed in blockchain and Web3 after relocating to Cayman in 2021, and has since established himself as one of the leading crypto‑native lawyers on‑island. As a senior member of the Walkers FinTech & Blockchain practice group, Justin has extensive experience advising clients across the industry, including many of the largest and most active projects and VC funds. Underlying Justin's interest in blockchain is a long‑held passion for technology and its potential to improve and reshape the world. Committed to the long‑term development of Cayman’s blockchain offering, Justin will bring a pragmatic, commercially minded approach to strategic and policy discussions.
- Reason My technical insight, legal pedigree and international perspective will deepen BACI’s global links and support educational, forward‑looking events in Cayman.
Simon Galante
- Bio Simon Galante is an associate in the corporate team of Carey Olsen, based in the Cayman Islands, specialising in fintech and digital assets. Simon has an international background, having previously worked in a leading global law firm in London for five years, focusing on capital‑markets, banking and finance matters. Since arriving on‑island, Simon has become embedded in the crypto community, presenting at STEP Next Generation and developing training workshops with multiple crypto service providers. He advises clients on structuring and regulatory matters for token issuances, early‑stage fundraising, DAOs, exchanges, VC funds, NFT/gaming platforms and mining‑staking operations, and also guides VASP licence applications.
