DosGatos is a super talented filmmaker duo that has been very active in the Film3 space.
They created the amazing documentary "LIGHTS. CAMERA. BLOCKCHAIN!", about the journey of making Calladita. You can watch it here: https://x.com/miguelfaus/status/1886486344379007193 or here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VOV1G2NLV6I
In late 2023, when the World Premiere of CALLADITA was announced, I (Miguel Faus) realized that we needed to create a compelling documentary to capture the incredible feat we had accomplished together as a Film3 community. What began as a crazy dream in my head—after a year and a half and approximately 1,300 NFTs sold—had turned into a feature film premiering at a top-tier film festival, and eventually finding success in many other spaces too.
I was a fan of DosGatos and their work, so I thought they would be the perfect team to make this documentary about the journey of creating Calladita. However, at the time, there was almost no budget available, as all funds had been allocated to producing Calladita, and later to promoting it. Despite this, DosGatos were passionate about both Calladita and this documentary project, so they jumped on board without payment, with the agreement that once the documentary was completed, we would review Calladita's finances and, if all parties were happy, potentially agree on a donation to compensate them for their work.
Now, with the launch of the Calladita DAO, I want to propose that our first use of funds be a donation to DosGatos in recognition of their outstanding work in creating this documentary, which required months of dedication.
Here’s a high-level overview of their work for LIGHTS. CAMERA. BLOCKCHAIN!:
▪️ Conducting and filming an interview with the director (1 shooting day in Barcelona, ~5 hours of material). ▪️ Shooting at the Málaga Film Festival (1 day) to capture the film’s Spanish Premiere. ▪️ Conducting online interviews with 11 NFT backers ▪️ Conducting an offline interview with the main NFT backer. ▪️ Reviewing 1.5TB of footage shot over 20 filming days ▪️ Collecting and reviewing additional material (YouTube recordings, personal archives, Twitter posts related to the project’s launch…) ▪️ Editing a 31-minute documentary using BTS footage, clips from the film, and other photo/video archives ▪️ Color grading ▪️ Sound design ▪️ Creating a teaser for promotion.
I personally believe that the market rate for this amazing work would be significantly higher. However, given the DAO’s tight finances and the very independent, low-budget nature of the entire Calladita project, I am proposing a donation of €8,000 to DosGatos for the documentary.
We can use the DAO channel on Discord for an open discussion.

THANK YOU!**
