SCC FINANCE and DISTRIBITION UPDATE

Dear SCC Community,

I hope you’re doing well. As our project evolves, I want to share an update on our progress, the challenges i'm facing, and a proposed change to keep SCC DAO sustainable and fair for everyone. This month's airdrop will go ahead as normal. Vote to be eligible.

Our Achievements and Challenges Since launching in May 2023, we’ve distributed $130,937 to our NFT holders across 17 months—an average of $230 per NFT, with early minters seeing impressive returns. This is a testament to our commitment to you. However, we’re hitting a wall: our liquid treasury is nearly depleted, and I’ve been personally funding recent airdrops. This isn’t a sustainable long-term solution.

What SCC Membership Means SCC DAO is more than just financial returns (many of you have already exceeded the 0.1 ETH mint price). It’s a community designed for growth in the crypto space. In terms of future revenues, we have locked funds in nodes like LUMIA, SWARM, 0XVN, and SONIC, and we generate passive income through MSS and SWAPX affiliate rewards. That said, low trading volume on the SCC NFT, very low social engagement with the DAO X account, and a minted-out collection means we’re not bringing in enough new capital to keep things flowing smoothly.

Proposed Changes to Airdrops To tackle this, I’m suggesting the following adjustments:

ROI Threshold: NFTs that have received airdrops totaling more than 0.1 ETH will no longer be eligible for future airdrops. Prioritizing Current Holders: Those who haven’t yet reached ROI will keep receiving airdrops, based on a snapshot of mint dates and earnings. **New Members: **Anyone joining after this change won’t receive airdrops until all current holders hit ROI. Future Plans: Once every current holder reaches ROI, we’ll work together to design a new distribution strategy.

Why This Is Important? These changes aim to:

Ensure Sustainability: Reduce the financial pressure on the DAO treasury and my personal resources. Promote Fairness: Support members who are still working toward ROI before expanding benefits to newcomers.

Timeline Since our inception, I have logs of every single vote and airdrop, and I would be able to download NFT mint and trading data from Polygonscan. However, it is a large undertaking that should take about one month.

The Road Ahead This shift is critical to keeping SCC DAO strong and equitable. By refining how we handle airdrops, we can build a foundation that supports both current members and future growth.
