TL;DR

As marketing is a key component of a media operation (the core modus of the FreeRossDAO), having a Marketing Pod and Marketing Pod leader is a core function and requirement of the DAO.

Under the new constitution, the DAO isn’t paying individual members under a payroll system any longer, instead giving out grants tied to performance. To this end, the Marketing Pod opts to let FreeOpsDAO manage their payroll responsibilities. FreeOpsDAO is a subDAO of FreeRossDAO established to manage the payroll of the operators in the core team (multisigners: Jess___#3861 schlomo.eth#2887 and rizzn#4975).

DESCRIPTION

Personnel Budget Marketing Pod Leader: Schlomo Comp: 85 USDC/hr (not to exceed 4.5K USDC/month)

Schlomo spent most of the last 20yrs creating marketing and building intentional communities for big and small clients such as NBC, Microsoft, CBS Interactive, YouTube, and the RZA. Since the lockdown, Schlomo has gone full degen mode after a couple pfp nft sellouts and now helps creators find their voice and audience with an eye towards stability and community enablement.

Graphic Designer and Webmaster: MickJay Comp: 45 USDC/hr (not to exceed 4K USDC/month)

Mick is a career creative, having been instrumental in the brand creation for a variety of public facing companies, including SiliconANGLE, Roger Wilco, Something Simple and the New America Foundation. He is currently responsible for the maintenance of many of the graphic and design assets and properties for FreeRossDAO.

Software and Tools Budget $12,000 per quarter.

Non-specific list, but talk about tool domains, and a total quarterly budget requirement.

Bounties Budget. $3000 in $FREE per quarter.

A key arrow in the quiver of the marketing team is bounties paid in $FREE, increasing community engagement and brand recognition. Putting these FREE in the community’s hands would also distribute voting power to the most active members of the community, and serve as an incentive for others to join.

MISSION ALIGNMENT

This group’s budget is aligned with all three pillars of our mission, since without the marketing pod maintaining our art collection and promoting it to the world, there is no DAO.

BUDGET

$40,500 per quarter.

SUNSET

One year from the date this proposal is passed via snapshot vote, or alternatively when superseded by a successor Marketing Pod proposal.

SUCCESS METRIC

The Marketing Pod assists in at least one major virtual or physical activation per quarter with collateral, advertising or PR

$FREE REWARD

If this proposal meets its success metrics, 5,000 $FREE will be awarded to the pod leader.
