A promotional campaign on Kitties R Us for the Kollektive collection

Abstract:

A major partnership involving the Kitty Inu Kollektive NFT collection is expected to be announced soon. To support this partnership, Adrian from our DAO Committee, proposed to grant 6 of the 20 Kollektive avatars owned by the DAO's treasury as rewards for the Kitties R Us program. Posts mentioning the Kollektive collection or the partnership on X would be granted additional points on Kitties R Us for some time and 6 Kollektive avatars would be awarded to top ranked users.

Motivation:

The upcoming partnership will be very important for the Kitty Inu ecosystem. The Kitty community must play a major role to support it and we'll all need to be engaged as much as possible on social networks to promote it. Granting Kollektive avatars to our Kitties R Us incentivization program would increase the motivation for the community to be fully engaged at this crucial time.

Implementation:

• One or multiple new keywords related to the Kollektive collection and to the partnership would be added to Kitties R Us. #Kollektive would be added as a tracked keyword. (We can't simply track Kollektive as it's German/Danish/Norwegian for collective; it would generate way too many false positives causing too many totally unnecessary API calls to X and cluttering up the Kitties R Us database and leaderboard with users unrelated to Kitty Inu.) If necessary, other keywords directly related to the partnership would be added too.

• As soon as the partnership is announced, every post on X containing the new tracked keywords and all posts mentioning “Kollektive” within a post containing a Kitties R Us tracked keyword (Kitty Inu, KittyInu, $kitty, KittyKart, etc.) would get their points boosted.

• Top 3 in the leaderboard for the month of the event would win 1 Kollektive avatar

• 3 of the top 4 to 15 would randomly win 1 Kollektive avatar. The winners would be chosen by the DAO Committee with a reliable random picker solution of their choice.

Depending on when the partnership is announced the boost and the month when the avatars are granted would slightly differ to make sure to get an almost complete month dedicated to promoting the partnership.

If the partnership is announced before the 7th:

• Boost would be *2 for 30 days
• Avatars would be rewarded for the ongoing month

If the partnership is announced between the 8th and 15th:

• Boost would be *3 until the end of the month and *2 during the first 15 days of the next month (boost would be stronger to make sure the leaderboard would still be strongly impacted by posts about the partnership while the period would be shorter)
• Avatars would be rewarded for the ongoing month

If the partnership is announced after the 15th:

• Boost would be *2 until the end of the month and for the next month
• Avatars would be rewarded for the next month (the period could otherwise be too short for the leaderboard to be strongly impacted by the partnership posts)

As this proposal relies on speculative information, changes to this implementation could be made at a later time and voted by the DAO on Discord (not as a snapshot vote) to make some adjustment based on the actual announcement of the partnership.

The promotional campaign would start as soon as the partnership is announced.
