Description
This proposal defines the default method for calculating voting power in Lightchain AI governance. Voting power directly affects how community preferences translate into outcomes, so the choice has implications for decentralization, resistance to capture, and inclusivity.

Definitions

• Token-weighted (1 token = 1 vote): Voting power is proportional to the number of governance tokens you hold.
• Quadratic voting: You can cast multiple votes, but the cost grows with the square of the number of votes (cost = votes² tokens). This dampens the influence of large holders while still letting them express strong preferences.
• 1 wallet = 1 vote (equal voting): Each eligible wallet gets exactly one vote, regardless of token balance. (Note: requires Sybil-resistance to prevent one person from using many wallets.)

Resolution Criteria

The option receiving the highest number of votes will become the default voting power calculation for Lightchain AI DAO proposals. This rule remains in effect unless and until another governance proposal on mainnet explicitly updates it.

Note: This decision applies by default to DAO votes and will remain in place until changed by a mainnet governance proposal.
