#54 Additional Developers

Proposal to add more developers to the team.

Motivation

Our ecosystem continues to expand and for the DAO to continue operating efficiently the development team needs to expand.

In software and blockchain development there is a well-established concept called ‘technical debt’, also known as ‘design debt’ or ‘code debt. Technical debt accrues when in an effort to bring protocol enhancements and new products to market in a timely manner, the devs do not have the resources they would like to essentially ‘polish and perfect the code’ as much as they would like to. When this happens ‘technical debt’ begins to accumulate because at some point in time the cost (technical debt) to ‘polish and perfect the code’ becomes much greater than the cost of hiring additional developers today and this is the point we are at now.

Further, the server infrastructure is becoming significantly more complex with product releases like MetaQuiz, and with the launch later this year of MetaBid the devs want to get on the front foot now.

• More polished final products faster,
• Development of some smaller products and enhancements in parallel,
• Lowering technical debt
• Handling bug fixes and existing product improvements without slowing ongoing development,
• Broadening of team knowledge with new skills,
• Faster response times to changes,
• Larger development capacity.

From a DevOps perspective:

• More proactive system monitoring,
• Setting up of more redundant systems and backups,
• Improving monitoring system,
• Helping the development team with systems operations so as to free up their time,
• Setting up virtual machines and host servers,
• Managing self-hosted mail server,
• Monitoring, managing, and updating BSC nodes,
• Setting up a public system status page.

Additional Developers

We propose adding 4 Developers (2 Senior and 2 Junior) and 1 DevOps.

DevOps practices enable software development (Dev) and operations (Ops) teams to accelerate delivery through automation, collaboration, fast feedback, and iterative improvement.

Up to 34,000 USDT per month
