Unlocking Partial Unstaking

Dear MetFi Community,

It's been over two years since the launch of MetFi! With the recent launch of Marine Moguls and the successful completion of Ocean Summit 2, we have made remarkable progress together. Now, we believe it's time to take the next big step and transition MetFi from its protective infancy into a more mature, thriving ecosystem.

What Are We Proposing? We propose releasing the staking constraints that have been in place. Over the past two years, we’ve received hundreds of requests for this feature. Now, with the halvings passing and the introduction of MetBot, staking has naturally taken a back seat. It seems the perfect moment to allow flexibility without requiring you to burn your MetFi.

What Does This Mean for You? If the vote passes: • You can unstake as many of your METFI tokens as you like without needing to burn your NFT. • You will continue earning commissions. • You will retain your Moguls and MetBot access.

Staking Rewards Continue Staking rewards will remain unchanged. The only difference is you will have the flexibility to take profits whenever you wish.

Unstaking Event To prevent manipulation and front-running, we will hold a special unstaking event 2 days after the vote if the vote passes. During this special 24-hour period, you can unstake your METFI immediately. After this initial window, the staking process will revert to a 7-day waiting period, but you will have the freedom to choose how much you want to unstake, and your NFT will not be burned.

Addressing Short-Term Concerns We understand there may be short-term sell pressure, but the token performance over the last year suggests this change will help establish the true token value faster, setting the stage for future growth. To discuss this vote, visit our Discord or Telegram Channels.

A New Chapter for MetFi This proposal marks the end of MetFi's initial phase and the beginning of a new, more mature era. Our treasury remains strong, and with MetBot on the horizon, the future looks incredibly promising.
