Split Rewards

Proposal to partially pay MetFier Rewards with METFI.

Background

Currently, 100% of MetFier Rewards are instantly distributed to wallets in the token of your choice with USDT being the default token.

Motivation

The goal is to create positive price action and increase the trading volume of the METFI token.

How It Works

80% of MetFier Rewards will be instantly distributed in the token of your choice just as they are now.

20% of MetFier Rewards will be instantly distributed in unstaked METFI which the recipient can hold, sell, or stake.

When a reward is generated METFI tokens will be bought from the PancakeSwap pool – no extra supply will be brought into circulation. This creates consistent trading of METFI, price action, and increases the trading volume of METFI which sends many positive signals to the market and token trackers.

The percentage split i.e. 80/20 will be a parameter setting that can be changed at any time if the DAO wanted it to e.g. 90/10, 75/25, and so on.

The developers believe that 20% is the optimal percentage to start with but again, this can be changed at a later date after we have some data to evaluate.

Cons

There aren’t any – you may be thinking this will allow MetFiers to sell METFI that they would not have otherwise received and that is true.

However, they can ONLY sell METFI that was bought on the open market so the very worst-case scenario is that the price goes back to what it was before the METFI tokens were purchased with smart contracts.

Proposal If the community approves this proposal with a FOR vote – MetFier Rewards will be split 80/20 between the token of your choice (80%) with the remaining 20% to be distributed as METFI bought on the open market.
