From Experience to Engagement: Connecting Generations

Voting ended 5 months agoSucceeded

The challenge of connecting generations lies not only in age, but also in differences in pace, expectations, and learning styles—since experience is not acquired exclusively through formal education. That’s why talent guidance is essential. This initiative proposes a hybrid space that combines mentoring and shadowing, designed to connect experience with attitude in order to generate meaningful learning. The main goal is to provide young people with the opportunity to engage with their areas of interest without needing prior experience. Lack of experience doesn’t mean lack of potential—it means being given the chance to immerse yourself, explore, and grow through real-world exposure. To achieve this, we focus on identifying individual interests, skills, and capabilities, creating personalized matches between mentors and mentees. Once the mentoring phase lays the foundation through knowledge sharing, best practices, and real-life insights, the shadowing phase follows as a practical immersion. This second part allows mentees to observe and participate in real work environments, applying theory and deepening their understanding through experience.
