Background Information

As you some of you know we had acquired majority stake of Seiyans NFT earlier last year, with expectation that the original team would continue to carry out day to day operations. Negotiations began at a time when Sei NFTs were still extremely active. The art was great but the direction was neglected and so we attempted to reinvigorate it by rebranding it to SAGA and "updating" it to EVM compatible assets, in anticipation for MagicEden's launch on Sei. Additionally, the refresh entailed a new marketing push, an updated Discord community, and a high level creative guidance provided to the original team to work with while being advised by a few SEIYAN "handlers."

The Problem

Unfortunately, the creative direction we seeded involving story and comic based world-building did not see the expected results that we had hoped for. This was compounded by the fact that Sei NFTs began to gradually lose interest from the community as Sei and the market entered an extended bearish period. Early in January, SEIYAN decided to part ways with the original founder (Cozy) of formerly Seiyans NFT (now SAGA) and amicably end the relationship. Consequently, we now control 100% of SAGA with no direction since the expected creative side that was to be executed by Cozy would be no longer be available. Furthermore, it would be significantly more work and a distraction from our main endeavors at SEIYAN (and Symphony Exchange) to manage the SAGA project directly as another separate entity. At this time the SEIYAN/Symphony team does not have the capacity to manage a separate NFT project.

The Proposal

Rather than completely fold SAGA, it's possible to turn SAGA into a minimal maintenance NFT product for special perks and benefits. Therefore, we propose the following:

1. Wind down the SAGA Discord server and X accounts (they will still be live but with a pinned announcement redirecting them to SEIYAN).
2. Migrate and merge all SAGA Discord users to the SEIYAN server.
3. Create a special benefits channel for SAGA holders in the SEIYAN server.
4. Maintain posts as needed about SAGA directly on the @seiyantoken9000 X account.
5. Turn the SAGA NFT into more of a special access or benefits "pass" for users without needing to maintain the creative story immediately.

Alternatively, we leave SAGA NFT alone for now towards potential future plans (CTO, etc).
