[RE] DREAM DAO PROPOSAL #78: Learning Pathway Proposal

🎯Goals:

• Launch the Explorers + Rangers Program for continuous learning and growth of DAO members.
• Establish a structured learning pathway for both new and existing members, tailored to their level of expertise in web3.
• Expand the impact of the DAO through the Bootcamp, targeting new builders who are unfamiliar with web3.

💡 This a structure, a support, a noth start for people to follow and have guidance so they don’t get lost in so many possibilities but this can changed, everyone can flow around between all these opportunities and try new things. Everything is TBD!

💭 Scope

• Bootcamp applications open
• Builders applications open
• S1-S2 builders join the Rangers Program
• S3-S4 builders join the integration program
• S3-S4 builders start the Perpetual Explorers Program
• Exploration Path starts in November until December
• S3-S4 builders graduate from the PEP and join the Rangers Program

1. With membership renewal, all builders from Season 1 and Season 2 join the Rangers Program:

The Rangers Program offers further opportunities for growth and impact. Builders will have the opportunity to join the Rangers Program, which offers further opportunities for growth and impact. This will help sustain the cycle of learning and mentorship within the DAO.

The Rangers Program will focus on supporting Champions and Builders through bounties and impact projects that are place-based. This will provide both of them with the opportunity to continue their growth and make a significant impact in the web3 x social impact space.

The main activities will be:

• Advocate for the DAO
• Mentor younger Builders and even new Champions (why not? adults also need mentors!).
• Host LTs and Treks
• Work on projects, on-the-ground impact (use The Citizen App) etc

The future:

With the success of this program, we can, in the future, go after funds to distribute to Builders and Champs in the Rangers Program so they can focus on working on their personal impact projects within the web3 ecosystem.

1. Builders from S3 + S4 will participate in the Integration Program (2 weeks max).

The Integration Program will present the DAO to new builders, help them to meet the community, find the best people to grow relationships with, and most importantly, help them to design the pathway they wanna work on during the Explorers Program.

1. After the Integration program, Builders join the Perpetual Explorers Program:

The Explorers Program has been a cornerstone of our learning and development initiatives. However, we've identified a need for continuous learning opportunities beyond the current structure of the program. To address this, we are transforming the Explorers Program into a continuous initiative.

This new structure will provide a consistent platform for learning and growth, keeping builders engaged and continuously developing their skills in the web3 x social impact space. It will offer a range of learning opportunities, from web3 basics to advanced topics, ensuring that our builders are always at the forefront of the web3 x social impact ecosystem.

The program will be structured around a series of modules, each focusing on a specific aspect of web3 x social impact. Builders will have the opportunity to work on real-world projects, apply their learning, and receive feedback from mentors and peers.

The main activities will be:

• Group study sessions (these will work like Juntos/Study Groups and will be divided into 3 (technical learning for those interested in coding, research for those interested in conducting self-paced research on a certain topic, and theory for those who want to learn more and more about the web3 concepts, from basic to expert levels). S1 + S2 builders can choose to participate if they want!
• Exploration Path. A program where builders explore a topic in real life into one of our partner organizations. the goal is to produce a learning artifact by the end of the 4 weeks. (unpaid) S1 + S2 builders can choose to participate if they want!

1. Every Voting Member CAN:

• Use the Citizen App for Bounties
• Take part in the WGs
• Attend Conferences
• Host meet-ups, workshops, and hangouts to share their learnings and empower other people
• Attend LT sessions
• Take place in virtual hackathons (if we host any)
• Participate in the mentorship program

WHAT ABOUT THE BOOTCAMP?

The DAO has been onboarding people who aren’t very web3 experts and don’t know much about it; this season we should

• onboard people who know web3 and have an idea of what they want to do with it (this will guarantee that they won’t drop the scene once they learn more and find they aren’t really interested).
• focus on bringing future developers and non-tech builders who will make great things with this emerging ecosystem!

For those who have little to no knowledge of web3, we will host the Bootcamp:

• the Bootcamp will remain its focus on presenting the basics of web3 and help people to learn about it with a community, however, you will not become a Dream DAO builder/voting member.

The bootcamp will be open to the public. We will open a specific application for it and around 40 people will be accepted. Once they finish the bootcamp, they will gain the title of ‘’Bootcamp Alumni’’ and then, be able to apply to become a Builder for the next season (season 5), if they want.

The bootcamp will also allow us to impact more people, externally, who don’t want to join the DAO but haven't had the opportunity to learn about web3 yet.

Basically:

• have knowledge?

  → apply to become a Builder, and participate in the Integration Program and then the Perpetual Explorers Program.

• have no web3 knowledge?

  → join the Bootcamp and apply to be a builder in Season 5.

• Work on the transition from new builders to entering the Rangers Program
• Work on elections

January:

• Operations
  • Monitor and support participants in ongoing programs (Bootcamp, Rangers)
  • Facilitate Learning Together sessions and Working Group efforts
  • Organize elections, training, and planning for the upcoming season
  • Launch new Builders applications (if the season ends here).

Feb - July

Explorers Program begins with the new builders, Rangers keep moving forward, and the Bootcamp is launching a new cohort.
