Ticketing Revolution DAO Launch

In short Proposing the appointment of two DAO representatives to oversee the initial several months of build-out for the renewed Ticketing Revolution DAO.

Context For an effective start of the Ticketing Revolution DAO, we feel the first step is appointing the initial representatives who will help shape the DAO and its activities. Since ‘education’ is a major part of the DAO’s purpose, there is a lot of discovery to do regarding mechanisms that activate and engage the right participants.

In order to spread the awareness and visibility around GET Protocol’s mission & activity amongst the Web3 space it is proposed that an independent DAO be formed to push this vision. Although it is always welcome, the objective of the DAO is not directly business development related. (There is a business development team & community affiliate program for this.)

Time and again the main challenge to onboarding more tickets as NFTs is down to the education of ticketeers, organisers, and buyers. Building and driving a movement to create educational content, broadcast the benefits, and bring greater awareness to NFT ticketing will clear one of the biggest hurdles to growth. Time for a mission-driven Ticketing Revolution.

DAO rep role description Oversee the initial roll-out of the DAO initiatives. Guide and iterate the process of vote executions. Flesh out the DAO representative role and establish benchmarks for successful execution. After some research, two community members were found that fit the profile and are willing to take on the responsibility and legwork of the role: Kyozu and Brom.

As committed community members, they possess the skill & autonomy for the job, on top of having a significant track record of involvement in the community, allowing them to assess what constitutes value & progress.

Compensation: For taking on this responsibility, a compensation of 1500 xGET per person per month is proposed.

Tenure Duration These Representatives would operate for four months, starting September 1st 2023, until January 1st 2024. Two weeks before the end date of this window, a following DAO vote will be put into place for Revolutionists to vote on whether they would like these representatives to continue for another four month stint or alternatively launch a bid for new representatives.

Vote mechanism The vote will run for 7 days, after which the majority vote is the conclusive answer. Voting is done with xGET, on either ETH or Polygon.

If these DAO reps are instated, we will grant them a portion of the upcoming monthly blog to lay out their initial plans and thoughts.
