Proposal to reinstate Telegram

Summary In light of the importance of Telegram within the crypto community, this proposal aims to roll back the decision to move from Telegram to Discord. The primary motivation is to reinstate a moderated Telegram channel, fostering a positive environment where constructive criticism is welcomed, ultimately benefiting the community.

Motivation Telegram remains the preferred communication platform for many crypto enthusiasts. Discord, on the other hand, has proven to be a barrier, hindering community engagement. Despite the transition to Discord, Telegram activity has persisted, resulting in a semi-unmoderated space where fear, uncertainty, and doubt (FUD) can thrive.

Rationale The implementation of a moderated Telegram channel will significantly enhance accessibility to the project for potential community members. By reinstating the "GET Protocol Community" channel on Telegram, we aim to assign moderators from various time zones, empowering them to maintain a positive atmosphere while allowing constructive criticism. The goal is to create a well-moderated space that encourages active participation from both the community and the project team.

The moderation team and management of the Telegram channel will be done by the yet-to-be appointed community manager.

Specifications a) Reopen the "GET Protocol Community" on Telegram. b) Assign moderators from multiple time zones with a clear mandate to uphold positive vibes and permit constructive criticism. c) Send a formal message by the DAO representatives to the team, where they ask to actively participate in the channel. While daily engagement is not mandatory, consistent involvement from various team members will contribute significantly.

Timeline Implementation of the reinstated Telegram channel will commence once the community manager is hired and active.

Budget No budget is allocated for this proposal. Volunteer moderators, under the guidance of the community manager, will oversee the moderation of the Telegram channel.
