Summary: This proposal seeks to gauge alignment within the community and DAO on the opportunity for a rebrand of the GET Protocol identity, narrative and branding.
Motivation: Since inception, GET Protocol has gone through several phases of positioning to identify the areas in which our brand and product suite resonate the most with protocol stakeholders.
Over the last year in particular it has become clear to us that what sets the protocol truly apart is our commitment to bringing the events industry on-chain and leading the charge in showcasing to organizers, artists and Web3 participants why on-chain ticketing is the future.
With this in mind, the current branding is often perceived as quite technical and not representative of the kick-ass usecase, adoption and tokenomics the project has. Not to mention we are crypto dinosaurs that can use a new lick of paint and fresh positioning to grab the attention of the modern day crypto space.
Rationale: Aligning on the decision to undertake a rebranding gives us internally the clarity and confidence in bringing to light a new brand that reflects the full scope and potential of the ticketing revolution mission being undertaken by GET Protocol, our partners and our community.
This will ensure that we can take the best foot forward knowing the community are in step with our decision making.
Specifications & Implementation: The project scope would involve a complete overhaul of the GET Protocol brand including:
Name, Logo, Website, Social Media, Ecosystem Sites,Token Optics, Narrative and Identity along with a number of campaigns designed to attract new community members, new ecosystem partners and further the mission of the ticketing revolution within the Web3 space and beyond.
Timeline: Implementation of the rebrand would be estimated to take place during Q2 of 2024 subject to internal scoping and efforts.
Budget: No budget is required for this proposal.
Quorum: There is no quorum set for this vote, provided there are more votes in favour, we will initiate the rebranding project.
