Summary

The BuidlerDAO community has voted to retrospectively distribute $BRP to members who contributed from June to July 2024, ensuring that contributors receive their deserved reputation fairly and accurately.

Background

To ensure that contributors can fairly receive governance tokens, we have decided to retrospectively distribute reputation $BRP through this reputation airdrop program to all members who contributed between June to July 2024 .This reputation will serve as a crucial basis for contributors to earn governance tokens in the future. We believe that with such a reward mechanism, BuidlerDAO will continually attract more outstanding talents to join us and collectively drive the development of Web3.

This retrospective reputation airdrop will also cover the reputation of contributors who were overlooked in the previous round (from June to July 2024).

Additionally, reputation $BRP will temporarily serve as the voting weight in All-hands Decision. The distribution of reputation also plays a crucial role in our next step toward decentralized governance. For more details, see <Whitepaper - Voting Rules>

Main Content

$BRP (Buidler Reputation) is an on-chain token of BuidlerDAO, a non-transferable proof of contribution record. It will be awarded to members and partners who have made outstanding contributions to the community, thereby embodying the reputation of BuidlerDAO.

In BuidlerDAO, anything beneficial to community members and the ecosystem can be considered a contribution. These contributions will be recorded in the form of Proof of Contribution (PoC) and will enjoy rewards brought by community reputation and earnings.

The factors for measuring the extent of contributions include multiple aspects: intellectual effort, physical effort, professionalism, responsibility and risk-taking, effectiveness, etc.

• Intellectual Effort: Measured by the difficulty coefficient of the work.
• Physical Effort: Measured by the duration of work and the energy expended.
• Professionalism: The level of expertise in a professional field.
• Responsibility and Risk-Taking: The higher opportunity costs or risks undertaken.
• Effectiveness: The actual feedback from users and the market.

Before the last round of reputation retrospection, early DAO guild managers and task publishers quantified different contributions by dissecting factors such as intellectual effort, physical effort, professionalism, and effectiveness. The current quantification standards are detailed here: . This table serves as the basis for this retrospective airdrop to ensure fair rewards for each contributor. All reputation records before August 1, 2024, have been publicly announced on the forum, and reasonable suggestions have been adopted for adjustments. This helps ensure the fairness and transparency of the reputation, avoiding any potential disputes or doubts.

A total of 3529.8 $BRP will be distributed in this round.

Note: The reputation airdrop system will go live in June, as rules based on the whitepaper - reputation tokens.

Accurate distribution of 3529.8 $BRP to early contributors before August 1, 2024.

Next Steps

If this proposal is approved by the community-wide Citizen vote, the distribution process will begin.

Step 1: Collect the reputation receiving addresses of the airdrop recipients. This is to confirm the identity of each contributor and ensure that the reputation is accurately distributed to the corresponding accounts.

Step 2: Conduct a one-time airdrop distribution of the reputation. This means that all eligible contributors will receive their deserved reputation rewards simultaneously. This method not only improves the efficiency of issuing reputation but also allows contributors to share the community's benefits and values more fairly.

Voting Instructions

Based on the statistics of the on-chain public addresses (Buidler Reputation (BRP) Token Tracker | PolygonScan), there are currently 134 $BRP holders, 81 Citizens and above, with a total voting power of 46,693**.**6 $BRP.

Voting Approval Standards:

1. Minimum number of voters for a single vote: 20% of Citizens and above (more than 16 people).
2. Minimum reputation for a single vote: 20% of the total reputation of Citizens and above (more than 9338.7 $BRP in voting power).
3. Single vote approval rate: 60%.
