IDIP-4: Throw an IreneDAO flagship event at ETH Denver

Summary In this proposal, IreneDAO members will vote on whether to have IreneDAO officially attend ETH Denver and host a promotional public + passholder event.

Motivation ETH Denver is the biggest Ethereum conference globally for the last 3 years. More than 5k people are expected to attend in person. This could be an opportunity to design and host the first IreneDAO flagship event to establish our brand and narrative as the first and the biggest influencer DAO.

Please note: Ghozali collab is still going ahead (see details in discord) but due to logistics on his side, this event will happen first. The way we position ourselves could end up being pivotal for the brand.

Proposal Following discussions within discord and talks with ETH Denver organizers, we propose:

• Attend ETH Denver on behalf of IreneDAO
• Rent this venue - https://www.eventective.com/denver-co/1134-broadway-707035.html - from the event organizers to throw a Valentine’s Day themed IreneDAO party (confirmed 7-12pm slot on 14th of Feb). Cost $5k.
• Commission a community artist to create IreneDAO themed banners + merchandise (hoodies & hats) to give away / raffle away ($5k - $10k needed).
• Hire a DJ (ETH Denver will help us book one, price $1k - $2k).
• ETH Denver can help facilitate open bar package (price TBC, assume $5-10k)
• Prepare an audio/visual presentation on what IreneDAO stands for
• Prepare an IreneDAO Valentine’s Day contest (details to be worked out), results announcement ceremony at the event
• Include a commemorative NFT (physical merch + NFT can come in pairs, TBC)

Attendance

• Mgoes + at least two other members already confirmed attendance. Irene availability to attend TBC soon.
• Make this event free for anyone attending ETH Denver to give us the best exposure
• Give a preferential package to any IreneDAO members attending (face time with Irene if she attends, preferential access to the merch, higher tier NFT, etc - TBD)
• We can also stream and have a virtual aspect to this party. We can then cut the footage and create an IreneDAO party + 'who we are' teaser. (cost TBC)

Budget

• We are working on getting estimates for all the items as we speak. We propose a preliminary budget of 10-15 ETH to accommodate the above.
