1inch has been an active participant in the global crypto ecosystem, having sponsored and organized multiple events during 2025: including 7 sponsored conferences and hackathons, 36 speaking opportunities, and 7 hosted networking events, reaching 16 countries across 4 continents. These engagements have contributed to thousands of new user acquisitions, developer connections, and business leads.

This proposal now seeks funding to support 1inch’s participation in 9 high-impact events during Q3–Q4 2025 as a sponsor or organizer, along with associated operational costs. All selected events are leading conferences or ecosystem gatherings focused on decentralized finance (DeFi), cross-chain interoperability, and Web3 innovation. While the 1inch Events Team operates under 1inch Labs, this proposal is made independently to the 1inch DAO to support decentralized community events that benefit the ecosystem as a whole. This grant covers Q3–Q4 only to ensure accountability and enable feedback loops from the DAO community. A follow-up proposal may be submitted for 2026 based on outcomes.

Abstract

This proposal requests grant funding to support 1inch’s participation in 9 strategically selected events between July and December 2025. These events span Europe, Asia, Latin America, and the Middle East, and include top-tier Ethereum gatherings, developer hackathons, cross-ecosystem conferences, and institutional finance summits.

The budget will cover sponsorship packages, side-event organization, travel, merchandise, booth production, media services etc. These activities will accelerate user adoption, boost protocol integrations, strengthen institutional positioning, and reinforce 1inch’s leadership in DeFi innovation post-rebrand.

Motivation

Each event supports ongoing community growth and adoption milestones identified through ecosystem needs and recent DAO discussions:

• Brand momentum: Q3–Q4 events will play a role in reinforcing 1inch’s evolving identity and community presence.
• Technical growth: Hackathons (ETHGlobal & ETHRome) and conferences (DevConnect, ETHCC) offer platforms to drive integration of our Cross-Chain Swaps, Limit Order Protocol, and APIs.
• Institutional presence: Events in Abu Dhabi and Singapore provide premium access to banks, regulators, and VCs.
• Ecosystem expansion: Solana Breakpoint marks our public entry into one of the most active non-EVM networks.
• Developer funnel: ETHGlobal hackathons allow us to source talent, collect feedback, and fund early-stage innovation directly on 1inch products.

These are forecast costs subject to post-event reconciliation. Total Grant Value $1 883 093 in USDC.

Funds will be sent to a 1inch Labs-controlled multisig used solely for approved community events. We welcome DAO oversight via multisig observers or quarterly reports. Funds will be disbursed in two tranches: one for Q3, and one for Q4, based on DAO sign-off and reporting.

Rationale

ETHCC & ETHGlobal Cannes These back-to-back events represent Europe’s most high-impact Ethereum gathering. 1inch leveraged ETHCC for brand visibility, thought leadership, and strategic BD via speaking slots and on-site meetings. At ETHGlobal Cannes, we drive developer engagement, source new talent, and collect real-time feedback through bounties and hackathon submissions. At the same it gives the best opportunity to promote 1inch hackathon Unite DeFi. Together, these events strengthen partner relationships, support our rebrand rollout, and generate integration opportunities across the Ethereum ecosystem.

ETHGlobal New Delhi India’s growing developer ecosystem makes ETHGlobal New Delhi a key opportunity for 1inch to expand its presence in South Asia. This event will boost brand awareness in a high-adoption region, showcase our latest technologies, and position 1inch as a leading cross-chain innovator. Through mentorship and judging, we’ll directly engage with builders, supporting talent acquisition and spotting promising teams for future collaborations. On-site interactions and workshops will drive community engagement, while hackathon submissions will provide valuable insights into regional user needs and DeFi UX improvements.

Token2049 Singapore Token2049 will serve as the flagship launchpad for the new 1inch announcement, positioning us in front of 10,000+ crypto professionals from across Asia and beyond. We’ll organize a dedicated 1inch 1-day conference and a high-level networking event, bringing together top builders, protocols, and partners to highlight our cross-chain focus and product evolution. This presence will drive major brand awareness & positioning, while curated content and high-profile speakers will support PR & thought leadership. The event also offers direct access to key players for BD & lead generation, strengthens ongoing partner relationships, and deepens community engagement through memorable, branded experiences.

ETHRome ETHRome offers a strong opportunity to connect with the European developer and governance-focused community. Through speaking participation and on-site presence, 1inch will reinforce brand positioning in a technically engaged audience. The event will support talent acquisition by connecting with builders exploring protocol infrastructure and DeFi tooling, while active participation in meetups and workshops will boost community engagement and generate valuable product feedback.

DevConnect + ETHGlobal Buenos Aires Ethereum’s highest-signal gathering brings together core researchers, protocol leads, and top dev teams—perfect for advancing integration discussions and strengthening 1inch’s role in Ethereum governance. For the first time, the Ethereum Foundation is allowing sponsors and booths, and they are being highly selective with partners—1inch has already been invited, securing a strong position early. Argentina’s thriving crypto ecosystem (top-5 in global adoption) offers a key LatAm growth opportunity, allowing 1inch to localize its brand and seed regional partnerships. ETHGlobal’s hackathon during the week further positions us as a talent magnet, connecting with high-caliber developers and driving new integrations.

Abu Dhabi Fintech Week / Bitcoin MENA - only side event Rather than sponsoring the main events, 1inch will host a targeted side event to ensure we connect with the right institutional leads in a curated setting. This week offers a unique institutional showcase, attracting ADGM & DIFC regulators, banks, and funds—making it the perfect moment to present 1inch.com and our institutional vision. With our HQ based in the UAE, this activation leverages our home-field advantage and reinforces long-term relationships with local VCs, market-makers, and regulatory stakeholders. Held during a peak calendar week, where Fintech Week and Bitcoin MENA overlap, the side event maximizes visibility across multiple verticals and supports ongoing regulatory goodwill.

Solana Breakpoint Following the announcement of our Solana integration, Breakpoint is the ideal stage to cement 1inch’s presence in the Solana ecosystem. Sponsorship will allow us to demo Solana swaps, host quests, and activate wallet connect flows—driving new user adoption and retention. The event brings together 3,000+ Solana devs and community members, offering high-impact visibility and direct engagement.

Our participation will highlight 1inch’s commitment to cross-ecosystem collaboration, and build trust within the Solana community through a strong, credible presence.

Media coverage, PR performance, and content output will also be documented. This report will serve to assess impact, ensure transparency, and inform the community’s decision on future event funding proposals.
