Burn locked spillover

Hey frens,

Since turning off spillover in the gotchiverse the "locked" spillover has been collecting in a PC owned wallet.

As a DAO we've taken great steps to improve the economy and tokenomics by reducing issuance to a level our current number of players and demand can handle. I believe this large amout of "locked" spillover would endanger this hard work if it were to be brought into circulation. Therefore, I am proposing to change the locked spillover policy to one of the following options:

Option 1

  • Burn all currently locked spillover
  • Burn all spillover going forward unless an event is happening (e.g. Saturday hangout) or the DAO votes to turn spillover back on

Option 2

  • The same as option 1 but exclude spillover that has come from reservoirs (land)

Either option burns all currently locked spillover but with option 1 no spillover will be collected going forward whereas Option 2 would mean spillover from reservoirs would carry on being collected going forward and we would need to decide how to distribute that later.

The main argument for option 1 is that it's better for the economy at this stage to have less alchemica being circulated. The main argument for Option 2 is that the spillover from reservoirs has come from parcels that people own and therefore shouldn't be burnt.
