Summary/TLDR; The Aavegotchi Grants program (AGP) aims to serve as a catalyst for innovation and growth within the Aavegotchi ecosystem. The Mission of the AGP would be to provide viable community ideas and projects with the financial resources to flourish from inception to implementation. The overarching goal is a community-led, transparent process for connecting developers/creators/innovators with resources needed to go from idea to funded development.

Purpose/Rationale The Aavegotchi community is made up of a wide array of stakeholders; project team/contributors, token holders, asset holders, players/users and partners. The goal for the AGP is to nurture Aavegotchi’s ecosystem to benefit all of these stakeholders. To be more specific, the grants program aims to do the following:

-Drive the growth of the Aavegotchi ecosystem by financially backing development projects that contribute to its expansion.

-Support projects leveraging Gotchichain, enhancing the variety of gaming experiences and fostering inter-game player interaction.

-Boost community engagement by funding projects originating within the community, thereby encouraging active participation and a sense of shared ownership.

-Foster innovation and creativity by offering support and resources to smaller-scale projects, sparking new ideas that benefit the entire ecosystem.

Program Scope

The AGP will focus on supporting projects with a funding ceiling of $50,000. These projects will adhere to stringent reporting standards and guidelines to ensure transparency and accountability. Key aspects include a detailed process for project evaluation and selection, a tiered funding system, regular monitoring of project progress, ongoing communication with the community for feedback and engagement, and adaptations to the program based on community input.

Committee members Team Lead (Fifoooo): Responsible for overall leadership, strategic direction, and coordination of the DTF 2.0 team.

Project Managers (Fifoooo / NationalBank): Oversee the implementation of projects, ensuring they align with set goals, timelines, and budgets.

Financial Analyst (NationalBank): Manages budgeting, financial planning, and reporting, ensuring transparency and efficient use of funds.

Technical Advisors (PG, CryptoGotchi): Provide insights on technical aspects of projects, ensuring feasibility and sustainability of technological implementations.

Facilitator/Community Liaison (Hefe): Facilitates communication between involved parties and engages with the broader DAO community, gathering feedback while promoting transparency.

Budget and Committee compensation

Committee compensation: Personnel costs amount to a total maximum of 10,000 USD per month across all AGP members. The first three months will be paid at an equal rate, transitioning to a capped hourly rate (hours worked) in the second quarter. At no point will the total personnel costs exceed 10,000 USD per month.

Budget This proposal outlines two budget selections with pro’s and cons for each;

  • A larger budget to fund more viable projects and ideas, higher initial cost.

  • A smaller budget is fiscally beneficial to the DAO, would mean being more selective when presented with many viable projects and ideas.

Option 1: 200,000 USD for funding projects, ideas and initiatives 10,000 USD in Personnel costs for Six months, totalling 60,000 USD Operational expenses (tooling) for six months, 3,000 USD Total Budget 263,000 USD

Option 2: 100,000 USD for funding projects, ideas and initiatives 10,000 USD in Personnel costs for Six months, 60,000 USD Operational expenses (tooling) for six months, 3,000 USD Total Budget 163,000 USD

The total amount would be disbursed as $GHST, priced in USD at the time of the proposal concluding. Disbursed to the AGP Multi-sig.

What does success look like? Success of the program would be measured against the following criteria:

Measurable Criteria:

  • Growth in the number of projects, ideas, and events funded and delivered
  • The number of funded initiatives scaling to stand-alone proposals going through Aavegotchi DAO
  • The number of funded projects and initiatives scaling on Gotchichain
  • Growth in the overall player base and DAU through funded projects
  • The number of projects funded by the AG that involves ecosystem newcomers.

Subjective criteria:

  • Improved sentiment and goodwill within the community
  • Improvement to Aavegotchi’s brand and positioning in the market

Conclusion

The AGP is committed to continuous incremental improvements to our guidelines and procedures to ensure the program will be a great success. We will utilize the weekly DAO meetings to work transparently and in line with the DAO’s sentiment.

After the first 6 months, the AGP will publish a full report with its overall results. Measurable and Subjective criteria will be outlined in the report. Community feedback will serve as a core aspect influencing the evolution of the AGP on a continuous basis after the trial period ends.

Thank you for considering our proposal, appreciate all your feedback.
