Clarifying AGIP 155's intent regarding distribution of the ~74 ETH via GotchiBattler

Summary

AGIP 155 currently allows only Eligible Wallets to compete for the ~74 ETH that will be distributed via GotchiBattler. However, this may not have been the original intent of the DAO. Some community members understood AGIP 155 to grant the GotchiBattler team full control over eligibility. This proposal aims to clarify the DAO's original intentions on this matter.

Current situation

AGIP 155 defined that, as part of the Rarity Farming (RF) pool, a total of 74.0799999993 ETH shall be distributed to Eligible Wallets via GotchiBattler. That follows from these 3 statements in the AGIP: The ~74 ETH are part of the RF pool:

Resolution C - RF Pool
C.1 The RF Pool budget is 370.33 ETH.
C.2 74.07 ETH shall be distributed via Gotchi Battler (as voted on in PTD-G2).

The eligibility criterion applies to all pools:

Resolution F - Eligibility Rule (Applies to All Pools)
F.1 To be eligible for the distribution, a wallet must be an Eligible Wallet.

Definition of Eligible Wallet:

2.2 "Eligible Wallet" means any wallet that voted on AGIP 146 or any AGIP thereafter up to and including this AGIP.

Proposal

AGIP 155 only allows changes that are "strictly necessary to achieve a valid, lawful, and enforceable distribution consistent with the original economic intent of [AGIP 155]". While the wording in AGIP 155 is clear, the relevant information was spread across three separate paragraphs and may therefore not have been obvious to all voters.

Since previous GotchiBattler tournaments did not have a pre-determined whitelist, some voters assumed that the GotchiBattler distribution of the ~74 ETH under AGIP 155 would also not include one. Therefore, this proposal aims to clarify the original economic intent of AGIP 155 with respect to the Battler ETH distribution.

In addition, this proposal explicitly clarifies that the 3-month claiming period defined in Resolution G of AGIP 155 does not apply to the GotchiBattler portion of the distribution. Instead, the DAO requires that the full 74.0799999993 ETH be distributed in its entirety before December 31, 2027.

Options

A: The original economic intent of AGIP 155 was for only Eligible Wallets to compete for the ~74 ETH in GotchiBattler.

B: The original economic intent of AGIP 155 was to let anyone compete for the ~74 ETH in GotchiBattler (registration and/or the creation of a team may be required, details will be determined by the GotchiBattler team).

C: Abstain.
