Summary:

Across is proposing that the following Across DAO governance setting be changed:

Increase Quorum to 12.5M - As part of making Across DAO governance more secure, we are proposing raising the quorum needed for a vote to pass to 12.5 million $ACX. This is 1M tokens more than the voting power of the largest current active voter.

Motivation:

Increasing quorum will help to keep Across governance secure, ensuring that a vote cannot be flipped by a single entity.

Specification & Implementation:

If this vote is to pass, then an admin of the Across DAO Snapshot space will make the changes necessary in the settings of the space.

Rationale:

As the protocol grows, it is important to keep up to date with industry standards. We believe making this change will allow us to open up further opportunities by addressing security concerns.

Downside (Cons):

Making this change presents the challenge of needing more active tokens in order for votes to pass, as such we will have to increase the level of communication around votes to ensure as high participation as possible.

Voting:

Yes - Voting yes will cast a weighted vote in support of this proposal. No - Voting no will cast a weighted vote against this proposal. If a ‘YES’ vote passes, an admin of the Across DAO Snapshot space will make the change above. If a ‘NO’ vote passes, no changes will be made at this time.
