Summary:

This proposal suggests cutting the xALD rewards in half, from 10% to 5%, and creating an Aladdin fund to allocate the remaining 5%.

Motivation:

Right now, holders of xALD (staked ALD) receive an annual percentage yield (APY) of 10%. We want to lower the staking rewards to 5% and use the extra 5% to establish an investment fund called Aladdin Fund. This fund can be utilized in different ways, all decided by the community. For more details, please refer to the forum post AIP-05.

Proposal:

We propose to decrease the staking rewards from 10% to 5% APY and allocate the difference to an ecosystem investment fund.

FOR: Reduce the staking APY from 10% to 5% and allocate the difference to Aladdin Fund

Against: Maintain the staking rewards to 10% APY and don’t create the ecosystem investment fund.
