Boule Plus Booster - Multiplier Rewards

As per discussion on the discord and in the forum, enough Boule Plus members have indicated their interest in the Booster reward program. A recap on what it entails.

PROPOSAL

Community members who consistently provide value by producing community assets for AladdinDAO should have their contributions recognized, who should be given the opportunity to be compensated through unique token allocation mechanisms.

In this proposal we suggest one; MULTIPLIER REWARDS.

There are many ways community members can contribute. As such, a non-exhaustive list of community assets can include:

1. Creating Twitter threads on details or new developments of the protocol/community
2. Building articles on various protocol details
3. Building and curating POTENT memes
4. Constantly engaging on discord/twitter
5. Providing feedback and offering proposals on discord/forum
6. Helping onboard new community participants.
7. and more!

VOTING PROCESS FOR BOOSTER REWARDS RECIPIENTS

These multiplier rewards are offered to selected Community Members who are currently Boule Plus members, who have demonstrated continual engagement and provided exceptional value to the community. These individuals continually create and engage with community assets and act as a pivotal role to keep the community vibrant.

Every two weeks, concurrent within one day of the end of every second Boule Plus voting round, the core-contributors will come together and vote on a community member who is a Boule Plus member, to be “boosted” for a x2 reward multiplier on their voting rewards. This multiplier will last for 3 months before automatically ending. To get the multiplier back, the community member would have to re earn it, while still being a Boule Plus member.

Core-contributors, when voting for the next Booster member, will look most fondly on contributions to the community that have the largest effect of increasing AladdinDAO’s outreach and bringing people into the community in a tangible way. The top down order of the list above can be used as a guide as the most effective things you can do to help expand and provide value to the community. Once again, the list is non-exhaustive, so if you have a novel and creative idea to expand and benefit the community, go for it!

We name these community members “Boosters”.

Additionally, core contributors reserve the right to pass on a vote in any round, for any discretion, if there are no new community members considered deserving for the Booster reward.

As the community grows, the core contributors also reserve the right at any time to increase the rate of voting rounds if they feel an increasing number of community members are continually providing value to AladdinDAO and deserve the reward. This could look like initially, a vote once a week, which could then change to twice a week etc, once again, as needed.

BUDGET SOURCE AND ALLOCATION

Currently, there are 260,000 ALD tokens allocated per epoch (every two weeks) to Boule Plus members for voting rewards. For members to receive the Booster rewards described in this proposal, it would be important the extra tokens allocated are not taken from the original 260,000 ALD tokens per epoch that are already allocated to the rewards for the Boule Plus cohort.

These extra tokens will come from the “Option Reserve”, an allocation of 13% of total token distribution, which is designed for allocation in accordance with all community governance decisions. https://docs.aladdin.club/tokenomics/token-distribution

The amount of new tokens required per epoch for Booster rewards is calculated depending on on how many voters voted per voting round, how they voted in that round and the voted protocol performance over time. As a result, for every epoch, a different amount of tokens will be required to satisfy the budget of this proposal. When the voted protocols are integrated, it will be the responsibility of the core-contributors, specifically the community manager, to calculate Booster rewards and ensure distributions to Boule Plus Booster members occur in a timely manner.
