ACC Season 6 - IOP

At the start of every Season of Optimism Governance, the ACC has to approve its Internal Operating Procedure (IOP) for the Season.

The Draft of the IOP was made available to Members of the Commission for their feedback, and the feedback shared by Members was iterated and incorporated into the final version.

Compared to the IOP of Season 5, the main changes in the IOP for Season 6 are:

1. Following Feedback from the Foundation, The Snapshot Space quorum is being modified from the existing 60% to 40%, along with the new condition that if the quorum is not reached, no action can be taken. This is because it was felt that any unilateral action taken without quorum could be seen as an attack vector.

2. A new Template for Expression of Concern is now proposed, which Delegates, other Internal Groups and Collective Members who wish to flag potential issues can fill up to bring the concern to the notice of the ACC.

3. Different types of proposal voting such as Snapshot Space voting, Onchain vote and Onchain Rejection are now defined in 5.1.1, 5.1.2 and 5.1.3.

4. Vote Notification Mechanism is outlined in 6.6.

5. ACC has a new email id: acc@optimism.io.

6. Other proposals which were passed in Season 5 such as Office Hours are now incorporated into the IOP.

The IOP for Season 6 of the ACC is ready for Snapshot Voting and approval.
