Proposal to Recalibrate $APE Accelerator Launchpad Tier Requirements

During the submission of AIP-209 for the formation of an ApeCoin-powered Accelerator (now the $APE Accelerator), an initial set of entry requirements for the $APE Accelerator launchpad was proposed. These initial entry requirements were debated by members of the community, as the mandatory requirement for ownership of NFT assets (i.e. BAYC, MAYC, and other Yuga NFTs) to enter the launchpad from Bronze level upwards was felt to be too greatly in favor of NFT owners and not $APE holders, who make up a larger proportion of the ApeCoin ecosystem.

Following extensive research into ApeCoin wallet holders, their average NFT holdings, and the number of individuals who would qualify for the Launchpad tiers based on the original requirements, we concluded that the model should be reviewed.

The result was the creation of an 'either/or' framework, to accommodate Yuga NFT holders and $APE holders alike to the benefit of the wider shared ecosystem. The new tier structure provides opportunities for those with and without Yuga NFTs to participate at varying levels, with each tier being assigned an NFT(s) requirement OR an ApeCoin requirement.

We are asking DAO participants to vote YES or NO to the new Launchpad tier entry requirements below, where YES will approve the adoption of the new tiers, and NO will see the Launchpad retain the original entry requirements proposed in AIP-209.

The proposed new Launchpad Tier requirements are as follows:

• PLATINUM TIER: 10,000 $APE OR 1 BAYC • GOLD TIER: 6K $APE OR 1 MAYC/BAYC • SILVER TIER: 3K $APE OR 1 BAKC/MAYC/BAYC • BRONZE TIER: 400 $APE OR 1 BAKC/MAYC/BAYC/Otherdeeds (incl Expanded)/Kodas • 'FRENS' TIER: Eligible NFTs from projects that add value to our community • PUBLIC TIER: No $APE or NFT requirements
