This proposal requests ongoing funding of $340/month from the ATX DAO treasury to support the production of the ATX DAO Podcast and to sponsor a 1-year Podcast Intern Fellowship that provides DAO membership and mentorship in lieu of traditional compensation.
This cost covers essential tools, promotional content, a professional recording environment at the DeAI workspace, and ensures the podcast continues to operate as a community-led initiative while expanding its reach and quality.
Upon approval of this proposal, all time spent sourcing guests, recording, editing, and publishing the podcast will be considered volunteer and/or intern work. Podcast contributions will fall outside the scope of Giving Circle reimbursement beginning with the May epoch.
Goals
The podcast continues to serve as a bridge between ATX DAO, the local Austin ecosystem, and the broader Web3 world. It amplifies member voices, showcases the DAO’s work, and connects the DAO with builders, artists, and thought leaders across the space.
Our goals with this next phase include:
- Increasing the quality and frequency of podcast episodes
- Highlighting DAO initiatives and member projects through monthly DAO-focused episodes or X Spaces
- Creating a pathway into the DAO through a structured internship focused on production, marketing, and storytelling
- Generating long-term brand value and awareness for ATX DAO
Monthly Resources Requested
$340/month to cover:
- Software and Tools (~$60/month): Riverside, Notion, Zapier, Calendly
- Recording Studio ($240/month): Access to DeAI workspace for recording
- Misc Promotional Materials (~$40/month): DAO/Podcast branded stickers, giveaways, etc.
The DeAI agreement includes space for monthly ATX DAO meetings and opens up potential co-working benefits for interested members.
Podcast Intern Fellowship
We’re introducing a 1-year Podcast Intern role focused on supporting production and growth. This intern will receive:
- DAO intern-level access (non-voting) during the term
- Full DAO membership earned upon completion
- Mentorship from Luke and Ash (12 structured 1:1s)
- Exposure to the Web3 landscape through hands-on podcast and media work

Next Steps
If approved, the Podcast team will begin monthly expense reimbursement and open applications for the Podcast Intern role. The intern selection process will begin shortly after, with a goal to onboard in the next 4–6 weeks.
