Overview

In reflection of our journey so far, last year's ATX DAO Pitch Competition was a remarkable achievement. We saw an astounding response with 75 startup applications, showcasing unparalleled innovation and potential from the Austin Web3 community. With $150K in cash and in-kind prizes, the excitement and competitive spirit were palpable. Such momentum not only signified the importance of our initiative but also placed ATX DAO at the forefront of Web3 innovation in our city. We believe we can amplify this momentum to curate an even more influential event this year.

Budget

We propose a budget of up to $20,000 for the 2nd Annual ATX DAO Pitch Competition. Here's a rough breakdown of the expenses:

• Food and Drinks: Up to $2,000
• Signage and Merch: Up to $1,000 - This caters not only to signage but also merchandising which encompasses a variety of aspects including some fresh and event-specific articles that go beyond the existing inventory of shirts and posters.
• Event Management:

  • Operational Team: $4,000 - This is for orchestrating the entire event which is a meticulous process requiring an enormous amount of effort and coordination. If the proposal is accepted, we'll do a call to action to assemble a team of DAO members willing to contribute. Operational compensation will be handled internally between the team (Jake, Roberto, Mason) and whoever else contributes and wants compensation in return.

  • Minero: $3,000 - Engaged for:

    • Website for the entire event
    • On the same website, the startup applications form
    • Registration to attend the event
    • A method to capture the people's choice vote
    • A method for the judges to vote on finalist
    • NFT trophies for the winners
    • NFTs for the semifinalists
    • NFTs for the judges

Profit Sharing

We understand the importance of rewarding dedication and effort. As we've done previously during the membership round, we'll implement a 10% revenue sharing agreement for members who actively participate in raising capital for the event. Members who successfully generated leads and close sponsorship deals will be awarded 10% of the capital they raised. This approach incentivizes our members to actively seek sponsorships, ensuring we have the resources necessary for a successful competition.
