Summary:

Political figure Andrew Yang has launched a web3 lobbying group to bring blockchain solutions and ideas to Washington. ATXDAO’s civic goals are similar, and Austin could really benefit from a strong relationship with this flagship political organization at the federal level.

By minting a Level2 NFT, ATXDAO would hold a token that gives ATXDAO members access to monthly virtual meetings with Web3 leaders to ask questions and help shape Lobby3 projects and policy priorities. ATXDAO could also host events as a Lobby3 leader in Austin, and Ryan is in discussions with Lobby3 leaders to establish a professional connection between the organizations.

There will also be occasional Lobby3 in-person events (around the USA) and ATXDAO can send a representative.

ATXDAO should create a Lobby3 committee and committee head to keep ATXDAO informed on Lobby3 activities.

Lobby3 staff is currently ironing out the details on how we will be able to use this NFT as a group, since some of the Level2 benefits are designed for individual Level2 purchasers. Here are some questions that Ryan has asked them to define for us:

• Has Lobby3 considered the best way to allow DAOs to participate in Level2 Access activities and share that access with their membership? We’d like to avoid having to get all members in a single meeting room to listen to the monthly virtuals. Will these monthly chats be only accessible through login with a wallet containing the NFT? Lobby3 ANSWER: Lobby3 may accept a whitelist of ATXDAO discord members to participate in Lobby3 monthly meetings.

• Is it possible to allow multiple individuals from ATXDAO participate in the VIP events if we only have one NFT? Do you know how many in-person events you’re offering in 2022?

• ATXDAO is also partnering with other civic/city DAOs and swapping membership tokens for access to events etc. Has Lobby3 considered any kind of process like this for gifting Level1 or Level2 NFTs to aligned DAOs? Perhaps through a grant/application process?

• SXSW is March 10-20. Will Lobby3 be making an appearance? Would you like to work with ATX-DAO on any events/parties? We are hosting one on March 16th.
