Abstract Austin’s crypto scene continues to grow with ATX DAO at the center, and with that position comes the opportunity to develop a network of partners who can help the DAO in its mission to make Austin the Crypto Capital of the World. To address this opportunity, we propose that we formalize a Partner Network to diversify our community engagement, offer marketing services to brands and organizations, and create networking opportunities for both Partners and Members.
Summary One of the best ways to position ATX DAO as a hub within the Austin crypto community is to develop partnerships with startups, companies and non profits participating in the crypto space. To ensure that the community is on board with this direction before we begin to approach potential partners in a systematic way, we are developing this proposal to launch the Partner Program. For an Annual Membership fee of $2,000 ATX DAO Partners receive the following benefits:
ATX DAO Partner Network is a completely separate membership offering than ATX DAO Members, structured as marketing services for brands and companies. Partners do not receive voting rights, cannot access the ATX DAO treasury or submit proposals, and are unable to attend exclusive Members-only events. In an effort to remain fairness across all ATX DAO Partners, the proposed fees and benefits may not be negotiated. Future tiers or additional services may be added in the future at the team's discretion based on market need.
Team The initial Partner Network team will be Kevin Crane and Megan Murray. Any DAO member interested in approaching potential partners or in helping manage the quarterly meetings is encouraged to reach out to the coordinators. Ongoing commitment is not required and members are able to participate for one quarter or repeat quarters.
Timeline The Partner Network will begin accepting memberships shortly after an approved proposal, or as soon as operationally feasible. The first Partner Showcase is tentatively estimated for April 2024.
Budget A total of $6,000 for the year is requested to support the initial phase of the Partner Network, based on:
Revenue An initial target of $20,000 based on 10 partners at $2,000 each. Additional tiers or benefits may be added based on feedback from partners or other opportunities.
Cash Runway Impact Assuming the initial target is achieved, the DAO will realize a net positive impact to treasury of $14k which will increase the cash runway position by approximately 2.5 months.
