Community Ambassador Programme

5 days left to voteActive vote

Proposal Overview

With a focus to expand Aventus' external presence, Community Ambassadors are responsible for external evangelisation, outreach, partnerships, and events, supporting the growth and visibility of the Aventus ecosystem while aligning compensation with measurable outcomes.

This proposal strengthens Aventus' market presence by appointing Sef (aka Pakman) as the Head Community Ambassador for Aventus DAO.

How it Works

Background & Rationale

  • Aventus currently has a critical gap in community ecosystem advocacy.
  • The previous ambassador programme did not meet its objectives due to a lack of suitable applicants and unfocused implementation. To allow for better outcomes and more efficient community treasury spend, this old programme will be sunset.
  • It is proposed that a new Community Ambassador programme be established to fill this void.
  • This role is designed for Aventus evangelists with the gravitas and expertise required to build relationships with other communities, forge ecosystem partnerships, educate developers about building on Aventus Cloud, and discuss token utility and node management - capabilities that are vital to the network's growth.
  • To kickstart the new programme, this proposal also includes a recommendation for an immediate appointment. As a respected community leader, Sef (aka Pakman) is recommended as the appointee for the role and the Head Community Ambassador for Aventus DAO. He meets all the qualifications for the role, and is well known as a passionate advocate for Aventus.

Qualifications

The holder(s) of any ambassador role should broadly have the following experience, skills, and knowledge:

  • Is an active AVT holder, and understands AVT utility
  • Well-versed with Aventus's history, and current DAO governance
  • Has an understanding of Aventus technology
  • Has worked as a core team member for a reputable blockchain protocol
  • Is a fluent English speaker and writer, and ideally fluent in a second language
  • Has always adhered to community guidelines

All appointments to the role will be conducted by the Aventus DAO Council on a case-by-case basis, following a formal application and interview process. It is expected that only one Ambassador will be appointed initially; a second position will be filled only as business needs and ecosystem growth dictate.

Responsibilities

The role holder(s) will act as senior, external-facing representatives of Aventus, responsible for evangelisation, partnerships, community meetups, developer outreach, ecosystem growth, and strategic feedback to the DAO.

Budget

It is requested that a budget of the equivalent of US$65,000 for one (1) year be allocated as part of this proposal to fund up to two (2) separate Ambassador appointments, as well as necessary expenses on an ad-hoc basis approved by the Aventus Council.

  • The equivalent of US$60,000 is reserved for Ambassador compensation (the total for two positions).
  • The equivalent of US$5,000 is reserved for meetups, rewards and bounties for initiatives, and other supportive activities.

The compensation for the roles will be split 50% base and 50% performance-based, payable in AVT or USDT (to be decided by the DAO).

Please note:

  • This budget represents a maximum ceiling; it is not necessary to spend the full allocated amount if suitable candidates are not identified, or performance targets are not met.
  • Expenses will only be incurred if they provide a demonstrable return on investment (ROI) to the Aventus ecosystem.

Performance Weighting

There is no fixed KPI for each category below, but it is expected that the role holder will make a meaningful effort and deliver a reasonable outcome each month:

Category Description Weight
Content & Social Presence Educational content, social media posts, replies in community forums 20%
Events & AMAs Hosting or co-hosting X Spaces, AMAs, IRL or online events 20%
Partnerships & Co-Marketing Setup co-marketing initiatives, collaborations, joint campaigns 20%
Developer & Ecosystem Leads Introductions to developer teams, node operators, ecosystem contributors 20%
Strategic Feedback & Reporting Deliver actionable insights, sentiment analysis, GTM feedback 20%
Total performance-based compensation will make up 50% of compensation 100%

Benefits to the Aventus Ecosystem and Community

Each benefit below is tied to a specific outcome that the Aventus DAO Council can track:

  1. Strategic Growth via Partnerships: Success will be measured by the number of formalised co-marketing agreements and ecosystem collaborations that result in documented cross-community growth and brand awareness.

  2. Expanded Developer Pipeline: The primary metric is the number of qualified introductions to developer teams and the successful onboarding of new protocols onto Aventus Cloud.

  3. Increased Network Security and Stability: By targeting professional node operators, the programme will lead to a measurable increase in the number of active, high-performance nodes, strengthening the decentralised node network.

  4. Enhanced Awareness: The programme will drive a quantifiable uptick in brand awareness, impressions, educational content views, and Town Hall attendance, ensuring the Aventus message reaches a wider, more diverse global audience.

  5. Treasury Protection through ROI-Driven Spend: The expense budget is tied to demonstrable ROI, ensuring that the DAO only pays for events and bounties that deliver verified growth or technical contributions.

  6. Improved GTM Strategy: Monthly reports will provide actionable sentiment analysis and market insights, allowing the Council to pivot strategies based on real-time feedback from the blockchain industry.

Term & Performance Review

Performance Review

Each month, the Community Ambassador(s) will report their progress to both the DAO Council and the community in writing, and in an online Town Hall on Aventus social media channels.

Term

The appointment has no fixed end date. Modification or termination of the role is at the Aventus DAO Council's discretion - however termination by the Council will only be considered in extreme cases such as violations of community guidelines. As with any community proposal that is live, any future community proposal can be put forward to discontinue the funding for this proposal.

If this Vote is Approved

The programme will commence, and an immediate appointment will be made to bring Pakman in as the Head Community Ambassador.
