[BIP-69] Whitelist Beethoven X Gnosis Safe for Balancer’s VotingEscrow

Abstract

This proposal seeks to garner community support to whitelist the Beethoven X Gnosis Safe multisig on Ethereum to vote-lock B-80BAL-20WETH owned by the Beethoven X community into veBAL to participate in governance for the Balancer DAO and gauge voting, specifically for pools on Optimism.

Motivation

Beethoven X is the first official friendly fork built on Balancer V2 that is native to the Fantom network. Beethoven recently partnered with Balancer to launch on Optimism. The Beethoven X community has passed a proposal to increase the exposure to Balancer via: the market purchase of $25,000 worth of B-80BAL-20WETH to lock as veBAL; the direction of a portion of Beethoven’s protocol fees on a monthly basis towards the purchase of B-80BAL-20WETH to lock as veBAL; and the commitment to bridge any farmed BAL tokens on Optimism to Ethereum to purchase B-80BAL-20WETH to lock as veBAL.
