PiggyDAO Participation in 0xConnect Web3 Event (St. Petersburg, Aug 17–18)

Proposal Summary

A proposal is being raised for PiggyDAO to participate in the upcoming 0xConnect Web3 event, scheduled to take place in St. Petersburg on August 17–18. The event is expected to host major platforms such as OKX, Bitget, and representatives from various Web3 projects (TBA).

General info about 0xConnect:

0xConnect is a Web3 community-driven event that unites builders, creators, and enthusiasts from across the crypto world. Since its inception, 0xConnect has hosted 3 official events, each gathering from 500 to 1500 participants. We expect around 1000-1500 attendees to purchase tickets and join the event. The tournament itself will take place in an open area, so anyone can stop by and watch, increasing visibility for PIGGY. We can prioritize PiggyDAO members, giving preference to those who hold the largest amount of PIGGY in their wallets. 20% of audience consists of influencers and creators from the CIS region. We’ll have a videographer to capture content around the poker table and take community photos.

Details of the Proposal

Host a community-driven offline poker tournament under the open sky as part of the 0xConnect side activities.

Funding Request

$1,000 in $PIGGY tokens to be distributed among tournament winners $500 in $PIGGY to cover preparation and equipment costs (e.g., branded tables, cards, and trophy)

Visibility

PiggyDAO will be listed as an official sponsor of the tournament. Branding (e.g., banners, information stands) will be displayed at the event venue. Poker tables will be custom-branded with PiggyDAO’s identity. A trophy in the shape of the PiggyDAO logo will be awarded to the winner. Custom-designed playing cards featuring PiggyDAO's visual identity will be used during the tournament.

Transparency

A PiggyDAO-appointed representative (S0MANY) will oversee the process and ensure fair execution.

Rationale

This initiative will increase visibility for PiggyDAO in the Web3 ecosystem and allow for direct community engagement in a vibrant, IRL context.
