Summary
BattleFly is implementing a DAO Council to assist with governance. The purpose of this proposal is to elect two community members to sit on this council.

Context
Below you’ll find the list of candidates that have been nominated (and confirmed they want to serve on this council). Each candidate was asked to provide a few bullet points on why they would be a good fit for this Council. Note: We’ve paraphrased these responses - condensing and standardizing them so they are easier to digest and vote on.

- Barry has 25 years of business experience and years of senior management experience running companies, giving him a different perspective than most community members. This has provided him with customer service skills, good judgment, balanced decision making, and the communication skills needed to effectively get points across.
- He has been playing & testing BattleFly since day 1 of launch and consistently brought forward concerns and constructive feedback.
- Barry was an early Treasure supporter, Magic maximalist, former alpha caller for Treasure in the Origins Discord, and has been gaming since Pong came out.

- Berlinrobbery has been around Treasure and Arbitrum since the start.
- He is motivated to serve on the council to help make Battlefly and Arbitrum even better.
- Berlinrobbery is qualified because he loves working and communicating with people to find the perfect solution to make everyone happy.

- Godfather has served for 2 years as acting member of student councils at both law school and business school while pursuing his MBA. This exposure has given an understanding of the coordination, effort, relationship/stakeholder management required to be an effective council member.
- He has gaming community experience & understanding from setting up a business providing middleman and escrow services for Pokemon based Discord Bots.
- Strong documentation and data analysis foundation from authoring research papers and memorandums in law school; which will be helpful in proposal vetting and creation. He also worked under a Supreme Court judge and for top tier law firms.
- Godfather is a longtime member and active thought participant to the Treasure & BattleFly ecosystems.

- LiQuid has been part of Treasure since 2022 and considers himself a smaller player (non-whale) in the BattleFly & Treasure ecosystem - allowing him to provide an objective view on matters relevant to the success of BattleFly.
- He works as a Project Manager in real life, requiring a structured approach and thinking.
- Liquid has been gaming since he can remember and has gained strong experience around game balance and game economies. Specifically knowing what is important for casual players and what mistakes should be avoided.

- Shaw has been involved in crypto since 2016 and is now dedicated full time to crypto.
- He has been with the TreasureDAO ecosystem since launch, which enabled him to pursue crypto full-time. He has been an active participant in Treasure’s governance proposals.
- Shaw has a background in Economics along with an understanding of coding and technical work required in the space.
Tertz#7236
- Tertz has been actively play-testing the game since day 1, and has grown very acquainted with its systems, designs and quirks. This gives him enough knowledge to provide inputs to create a more fun, balanced and sustainable game.
- He has a dev background and may also be of help evaluating proposals, suggestions from a development cycle perspective - weighing on the feasibility of proposals not only from a player & community member perspective but also from a technical point of view.
- He has dug deep into the game; putting time, money and a lot of energy into understanding how each lever in the game is pulled and how they interact with each other.
- Most importantly, Tertz genuinely enjoys playing BattleFly and wishes for it to continue evolving for a long time to come.
Voting Structure
- We are doing one round of voting using Snapshot’s Approval Voting method to elect two candidates.
- Each voter may select any number of candidates with each choice receiving equal voting power
- The top two candidates from this vote will be elected.
