BFP-26: Hire Mustang

Proposal: Hire Mustang as part-time UX designer within the Design department.

Resume: Mustang is an interaction & UX designer looking to help innovate the user experience at Beanstalk. They have experience designing complex, end-to-end prototypes that anticipate user needs and promote user engagement across platforms. They also have experience working & leading out design teams and projects, and effectively communicating design implementation to stakeholders and software engineers. Their work experience includes but is not limited to creating intuitive design systems, designing interactive components, conducting in-depth user testing, and implementing user/stakeholder feedback to drive higher user satisfaction.

Role Definition: This part-time associate UX Designer role will include:

• Innovate the Beanstalk Farms experience to promote user engagement through interactive and intuitive end-to-end user flows
• Design low and high-fidelity prototypes and through user testing map the most effective user journey for Bean farmers
• Design UI components for mockups and final deliverables that are on brand
• Simplify the onboarding experience for new farmers and figure out how to help them quickly grasp and catch the vision
• Assist the UX/UI Design Lead with the tasks above and anything else needed
• Research and discover current methods as well as new potential experiences for Beanstalk users

Payment: 3250 Beans per month, paid twice a month, starting on February 7th, 2022.

Commitment: A minimum of 15 hours per week, through the end of Q1, 2022. At-will.

Trial Period: Beanstalk Farms supports anonymity and understands many contributors may not want to share their doxxed portfolio and wishes to give many chances for paid contribution. If a contributor does not have a portfolio or has not done previous work for Beanstalk, then Beanstalk Farms can offer a paid trial period.

Length: A 2 week trial to determine design skills and team fit.

Payment: All payment during this period will be in Pods and after successful completion of the trial, compensation form will be up to the contributor.
