[BIP:100] ChainPatrol Renewal

TL;DR - approve a budget of $6,000 to renew the ChainPatrol relationship for a further 12 months.

Renewal

In May 2024, the DAO approved an initial engagement with ChainPatrol under [BIP:78] for the provision of protective and preventive services to manage social media and digital communities. After an initial trial, the relationship extended to an initial 1-year engagement, and a further 1-year extension in [BIP:90]. As we now approach the end of that extended engagement, this proposal seeks approval to renew the engagement.

ChainPatrol have once again delivered with great skill and efficacy against their mandate. They have handled a significant amount of volume without issue, and there has been a noticeable decline in the amount of contributor time devoted to handling scams and impersonators.

The below statistics provided in January show the value added by ChainPatrol throughout 2025.

Budget

Though the value of ChainPatrol’s service is apparent, the contributor team is very mindful of Beefy’s expenses at the current time due to reduced revenue in the last few quarters. Having raised our financial position with ChainPatrol, we are pleased to confirm a reduced price for the year of $6,000.

The significant reduction is a one-time offer, aimed at maintaining Beefy as a partner long-term. There are no strings attached, though Beefy has always been keen to share details of our fantastic experience with ChainPatrol and support them where we can and will continue to do so. The contributor team recommends accepting this renewal offer.

Beefy DAO should approve a $6,000 budget for the renewal of ChainPatrol’s services for a further year.
