The costs infrastructure includes several things:
- We have been running infrastructure on AWS since the start of the protocol. - - We constantly needed to ramp up the infrastructure on AWS because more and more users have been using our service. Infrastructure that is running on
- AWS include: Build pipelines, virtual machines and databases used for the backend, databases and storage for self-hosted RPC and graph-node, load balancers, s3 storage.
- Cloudflare and Stellate: Cloudflare offers us security services and Stellate is used as a caching layer for the backend graphql endpoint.
- Domains and website hosting for our frontend
Over the last 3 months, we have been trying to cut our infrastructure cost where possible. WE have included a summary in the discord discussion.
The proposal is:
The DAO treasury covers the infrastructure cost of Beethoven X up to a maximum of $10k per month, this would be for a total of 6 month starting with the month of May which totals to $60k for May until October.
