Commission a 1/1 NFT from Jake Osmun

Summary This proposal is to not only commission a 1/1 NFT, but also to create another partnership with an up-and-coming artist in the space. The idea is to build a partnership that could not only be an investment into an NFT, but the artist himself. As his platform starts to grow, we can essentially help grow that platform him with, as we grow BeetsDAO as well.

Jake Osmun is an NFT artist that has recently been catching a lot of steam in the space. Over the last month he has gained 4,000 followers on Twitter, including big collectors and artists including: @4145, @beanie, @xcopy, etc.

He has been featured in different editorials such as Hypebeast, Complex, and Billboard.

His 1/1 NFT piece called “Ye” was selected by @4145 as a winner in his contest, in which Jake won a Crypto Punk, which is currently valued at $75,000.

His last few 1/1 pieces in his “Psych0” series have all sold out on FND. For 3.5 ETH Jake has offered to do a 1/1 commission for BeetsDAO.

If we do decide to commission a piece from him, we can even do things like create physical canvases/prints of his work that we could giveaway to our print holders. We can discuss more of those plans after the DAO has voted.

How? BeetsDAO will vote on this proposal. If the vote passes, we will do a private sale with Jake in exchange for the piece.

Return on Investment – Overtime, his work will go up in value and BeetsDAO could also support him in his journey as an NFT artist, where both parties can beneficially grow together. 1/1 NFT pieces will grow in value over time over open editions. As we develop this partnership, we can also think of ways to incentivize our community to buying more prints and doing giveaways with Jake.

Funding – We can use the ETH that we currently have in our reserve, paying Jake a price of 3.5 ETH for a 1/1 NFT, no need to raise any funds.
