Background

Since its launch in 2022, the BendDAO protocol has been moving towards its goal of decentralization. The development of the BendDAO protocol, initially led by the development team, has gradually evolved into community governance. As of September 2023, the community has issued more than 40+ formal governance proposals, covering:

• Improvements to protocol functionality
• Modifications to protocol parameters
• Market operation expenses

So far, all matters related to the BendDAO protocol require community voting, which also indicates that the development of the protocol is now community-led.

In order to improve the efficiency of community governance, BendDAO has established a treasury committee under the guidance and suggestions of the development team to ensure the following matters are efficiently carried out in the decentralized governance process:

• Improvements to protocol functionality and parameters
• Future development direction of the protocol
• Market operations
• Budget review and expenditure

The proposal to form the BendDAO Treasury Committee based on decentralized governance processes has been approved through voting on Discord and Forum.
