BASTARD MANAGEMENT AND ADMINISTRATION

Hello beautiful bastards.

I’m writing to you all today with a proposal I feel will benefit the Bastard DAO both internally and externally. I have been inspired by the recent events of the floorDAO vote, thanks to Dirtbaglu and the implications it may have on the server in regards to the community and especially the new members, our fresh bastards who will be joining us in the near future. Hopefully in volume. I am of course talking about the implication of security issues with bot attacks and scammers on the rise.

I started working in Crypto with Solrise Finance, a decentralised fund investment platform based on Solana. After a short time of modding I was promoted to Head of Support, in which I was responsible for;

• Hiring and procuring moderators
• Designing systems and processes
• Runnings bots and managing the security of the server (both individually and externally by keeping the team of moderators up to date with relevant information)
• Maintaining and managing a team of 10 in multiple timezones
• Writing company philosophy’s
• General organisation and admin
• Creating and executing competitions and community/server events (Much more but this is the relevant information in regards my proposal)

Now, after a brief discussion with Snooplyin in regards to the security of the server, I have also been made aware of the issue that their is no general managing force behind The Bastards, the server or the moderators. I believe if we all have the shared dream of seeing the Bastards run as a business and a brand, this is extremely important and is harming the brand as a whole so long as nothing like this is in place. A middleman who works between the giga brains, bastard og’s, community contributors, general community, berk (when necessary), builders, signers, etc.

Someone who can bring all the unofficial figureheads of this community together, someone that has a grip on what’s happening in the server (spikes in new members). Someone who can act as a glue more so than a manager, I don’t want to overrule or take over any aspect of this community. I want to bring everyone together and see it work as a well oiled machine. Someone who cares and can organise and orchestrate all the brilliance that goes on within this community and can put it all under the one roof.

DAO’s are a great idea however I think traditionally for new members, the servers can be a bit lacklustre and are mostly missing that refinement and energy (focused organisation behind the scenes) that really hooks them and makes them feel apart of a brand and community.

Now doing security is one thing, managing and organising a team of Bastards is another. I feel I’ve summarised as much as I can above and that the evidence in ability will have to be seen through execution. My services are priced in on a full-time basis at roughly 38 hours a week and I am wholly open to any discussion.

$4000 of DAI or ETH (at time of payment) per month.

I offer this pending a 1 month probation. If the DAO isn’t happy after 1 month then I will gracefully step down.

The cost of this service will also be pending a 3 month review so everyone is in accordance that value is being provided, including myself.

Voting will be open for two weeks, if successful I will begin immediately.
