Dear All,

This is a follow up proposal to my previous one. From the voting on the previous proposal, given how close the outcome was, I envisage that the payment may have been felt to be too high. If this is the case, the following is the same proposal but with a lower ‘fee’.

If the vote hadn’t been so close, I would not be publishing this second proposal but I want to try to cover topics that I think shed light on the different aspects of Bgans that hold a lot of value (from the perspective of my ‘IRL’ career) and it seems like the topics mentioned are of interest.

I have revised the fee whilst still accounting for that I envisage both pieces being in the region of 2000-3000 words and will require reading of dense case-law.

If the topics are of interest to you but the previous fees were too high, I do apologise for this and hope the revised amounts are ‘fairer’.

The proposal is to write two further articles, on the topic of copyright. The first article would explore whether Bgans enjoy copyright protection (and will touch upon the wider issues of whether generative art enjoys copyright protection or not). The second article will explore the relationship between Bgans and Cryptopunks through the lens of copyright – focussing a lot more on the originality of Bgans.

I am proposing to write two articles as the focus of both articles, whilst being copyright, will be very different. Also, both articles will highlight and celebrate different values of Bgans.

Regarding payment, I would ask for £450 (GBP) per article. I would anticipate having the first article posted within 7 days and the second article 14 days thereafter. I am hopeful I can get them done much sooner and if I am able to, I will of course publish sooner.
