Currently, BGAN #8548 has the type trait: Ape

Here is the classification criteria for Alien Ape taken from the BGAN V2 trait constitution:
1.1.12 Alien Ape
It has been established in a previous proposal that this Bgan is not missing an ear (not a VAN GOGH) and the two dark pixels (lower black and upper dark green) emanating from the left side are to be considered ear pixels due to their location:
I propose that this ape has an alien ear which makes it an alien ape hybrid. Due to the dark blue background which does not contrast well with the dark ear pixels, I believe it has been accidentally misclassified as only an ape.
An alien ear is triangular (sometimes with double lobes) and in many cases can be identified by two pixels emanating from the head. In the case of this bgan, the upper and lower outline of the ear triangle is showing as a black pixel and above it a dark green pixel (separated by a dark blue background pixel).
Two examples of alien ape hybrid ears close to this situation: https://opensea.io/assets/0x31385d3520bced94f77aae104b406994d8f2168c/8173 https://opensea.io/assets/0x31385d3520bced94f77aae104b406994d8f2168c/5106 Now you can see in both of the above examples the two dark pixels sticking out of the head separated by a background pixel. This is the outline of the triangular ear which represents an alien ear.
Similar examples but this time on alien human hybrid ears that supports the case: https://opensea.io/assets/0x31385d3520bced94f77aae104b406994d8f2168c/5556 https://opensea.io/assets/0x31385d3520bced94f77aae104b406994d8f2168c/9647 Two emanating ear pixels in the same area representing the upper and lower lobe of the ear.
In the end, the question comes down to whether the ear pixels are alien or not. After carefully looking at alien ears I believe they are. If that's true, I think that BGAN 8548 should have its classification updated to Alien Ape.
