Final Step of Comic Book ETH -> USDC

Hello all!

I am writing this proposal as the last leg of the Comic book creation. We have found an illustrator with a very good work ethic and great style through Fiverr. He has already created the first 5 pages of the comic. The issue at hand is that the artist will not continue work unless we can promise to pay for the completed product through Fiverr.

For those unfamiliar with Fiverr, their system works so that the work we request is not released until payment is received and payment is not released until the works are uploaded. I am willing to pay this upfront cost as long as I know I do not have to take currency risk (essentially I am worried about receiving less USD worth of ETH than the USD I am spending on the artist).

The proposal is as follows:

We have essentially approved 1.5E for the first book through 1E for artist+illustrator as well as 0.5E for the Summer of Writing program. I would like the DAO to convert the illustrator portion and the Summer of writing portion of the authorized ETH into USDC. This will be held by the DAO until the comic has been delivered. Once delivered I will receive the USDC (half to compensate my out of pocket expense for the illustrator, and half for the summer of writing) and Metalinreallife will receive his allotted 0.5E

If we decide that paying an illustrator after delivery is best, then we will need to find an illustrator that is okay with receiving payment in ETH after delivery.

A YES vote is for converting 1E of the approved payment into USDC to be paid upon delivery of the comic

A NO vote is against converting a portion of the approved ETH to USDC
