With the launch of BIO on Friday January 3rd 2025 Bio Protocol has entered a new phase.
The bio/acc cell proposes to close the first reward season of bio/acc rewards with the passing of this proposal.
The bio/acc cell (rewards committee) will review the milestones and metrics met by the BioDAO ecosystem and distribute eligible rewards
The bio/acc cell will propose a new set of rewards for the new season to be discussed and voted on via the governance process
The bio/acc rewards framework, established and ratified in BIOPSY-5, has been instrumental in incentivizing contributions and driving ecosystem growth. The market landscape and valuation dynamics have evolved significantly since the initial bio/acc rewards framework was established. This shift necessitates a reevaluation of the current structure to better align incentives with the updated market conditions and ensure the program’s effectiveness in driving ecosystem growth. As the first rewards season is concluded at passing of this proposal, it provides an opportune moment for refinement and adjustment.
By closing the first reward season, the bio/acc cell will:
Review Milestones: Conduct a comprehensive review of milestones achieved by participants in the BioDAO ecosystem during the first reward season and distribute rewards accordingly
Evaluate Metrics: Assess performance metrics to ensure that rewards are equitably and effectively distributed.
Inform Future Strategy: Utilize insights from the review process to refine and optimize future rewards frameworks, ensuring they remain aligned with ecosystem goals and market realities.
Propose New Structure: Present an updated rewards framework to the community for discussion and ratification through governance vote.
If this proposal passes, the bio/acc reward season 1 will close and the bio/acc cell will evaluate all rewards, publish a report of the results and commence with payouts.
The bio/acc cell (represented by Clemens, Leo and Alex) will propose an updated version of the bio/acc rewards to incentivize ecosystem growth for feedback by the community.
