Proposal: Pause HAIR Auction Due to Low Demand 

Summary:

This proposal requests a pause and potential closure of the HAIR token auction within BIO Genesis 2 due to low participation. The lack of demand has led to an overvaluation of BIO in the HAIR pool, which is stalling the overall BIO auction process. By pausing this auction, we aim to allow a timely close of the current auction and uphold the fully diluted valuation (FDV) projected in the Bionomics proposal. 

All other token pools in the auction have reached their caps, while the HAIR token pool remains significantly underfilled. The current demand for using HAIR in the auction appears to be low, which further delays the auction’s closure and impacts the projected FDV.

We propose to:

Pause the HAIR token auction to assess demand. If no significant demand is expressed for using HAIR in the auction, end the HAIR auction and reallocate the remaining BIO tokens to where there is greater participation demand. 

Once quorum is reached on this proposal, the HAIR pool can be paused.

Following the closure of the HAIR auction, the community can vote on where to allocate the remaining BIO tokens. 

All HAIR auction participants that already participated get BIO at the current price when the auction is paused. HAIR participants will be able to claim BIO at the close of Genesis, when claiming begins for all other auctions.

Rationale:

Pausing the HAIR auction will allow the auction to close without further delays, stabilize the FDV, and refocus token distribution on pools that are currently in demand.

Voting Options:

For: Approve the pause to the HAIR auction. Once quorum is reached on this proposal, the HAIR pool can be paused.

Against: Continue the HAIR auction as is.

This proposal offers a responsive strategy to ensure the success of the ongoing BIO Genesis 2 auction and maintain a realistic valuation in alignment with the Bionomics proposal, preserving the integrity of the auction process.
