Establishment of the Alpha Council

Summary This proposal seeks to establish the Bitmates Alpha Council, a community-driven group designed to lead and manage events to engage our community members, increase awareness of Bitmates, and improve communication between the community and the team. The Alpha Council will consist of elected community members, referred to as Leaders, who will collaborate with the Bitmates team to create and oversee projects that improve the player experience.

Objectives Enhance Community Engagement: Increase player participation and satisfaction through well-organized events. Empower Community Leaders: Give dedicated community members a platform to contribute ideas to the team in a meaningful way. Improve Event Quality: Leverage the creativity and passion of the community to design better reward systems for the community. Improve Communication: Leaders will help increase the quality and frequency of communication between the team and the community by providing regular updates and opening up a new channel of communication to the team. Grow the Community: Help spread the word about Bitmates and invite new users to join the project through community events.

Structure of the Alpha Council Council Members: The Alpha Council will consist of 4 highly motivated Leaders, elected by the community through a voting system. Term Length: Each Leader will serve a term of 16 weeks, with the possibility of re-election.

Roles and Responsibilities Event Planning: Design, plan, and execute community events. Community Feedback: Gather and relay community feedback and ideas to the development team, and work with the team directly to ensure this feedback is heard and acted on. Content Creation: Develop content such as event announcements, guides, and recaps. Including communicating and assisting outside content creators to help promote the project. Moderation: Assist in moderating to ensure a positive experience for all participants.

Budget Compensation: Allocate a budget of $15,360 for compensating Leaders for their time and efforts. Event Funding: Set aside $10,000 for event-related expenses, including prizes and promotional materials. Tools and Resources: Provide necessary tools and resources to aid in event planning and execution.

Compensation and Commitments Each leader will be compensated $240 per week for a 16-week period. Leaders are expected to allocate at least 8 hours per week towards the Alpha Council. Leaders are committed to collaborating with the team and community to ensure the success of the project. Leaders must attend at least 3 of 4 meetings each month with the team to discuss and plan events for the community.

Implementation Plan Selection Process: Initiate the selection process for the first group of Leaders. Voting Process: Hold a vote for Leaders to be voted on by Bitmates Members. The top 4 most voted entries will become Leaders. Orientation: Conduct an orientation session for new Leaders to outline their roles and responsibilities. Event Calendar: Develop an initial calendar of events to be managed by the Alpha Council. Feedback Loop: Establish a regular feedback loop between the Leaders and the development team. Reporting: Create a system to measure the results of this program to ensure effectiveness.

Evaluation Metrics Event Participation: Track the number of participants in events. Community Feedback: Collect feedback from the community on the effectiveness and enjoyment of events. Engagement Metrics: Monitor engagement metrics such as Discord activity, social media interactions, and in-game participation.

Conclusion The establishment of the Alpha Council represents a step forward in fostering a more engaged community. By empowering dedicated community members to take on leadership roles, we can enhance the overall player experience and improve communication while ensuring that Bitmates continues to grow and succeed.
