Launch Community Points to Reward Engagement and Participation

This proposal seeks DAO approval to launch Community Points (CP) — a non-transferable, reputation-based point system that rewards active contributors, fosters long-term engagement, and aligns community incentives.

Motivation

As our DAO grows, incentivizing quality participation and retaining contributors becomes essential. While token-based rewards are effective, they don’t always reflect meaningful involvement. Community Points aim to: • Recognize valuable but non-financial contributions (moderation, feedback, event organization) • Promote on-chain reputation and identity • Encourage a merit-based, non-speculative community layer

1. Token Design: • Name: Community Points (CP) • Type: Non-transferable ERC-20 (soulbound) • Mint Authority: DAO multisig • Storage: Stored on-chain, viewable via DAO profile dashboards

2. Earning Mechanics: Community Points will be distributed monthly based on: • Forum participation & proposal authorship (+5 CP) • Snapshot voting turnout (+3 CP per vote) • Task completions via Coordinape / Dework (+variable CP) • Community calls, AMAs, events (+2 CP per event)

3. Use Cases: • Governance boosting: 1 CP = +0.01 voting power boost (optional) • Eligibility for contributor roles and grants • Reputation metrics for partnership discussions

4. Distribution Cap: • 10,000 CP per month (reviewed quarterly) • Backdated rewards to be considered for past 6 months of activity
