‘Bobu presents: Alley Records’ is a decentralized label and remote collaboration environment that enables Azuki musicians to co-create, complete, and distribute music. Bobu Token holders will vote on songs during contests for the label to release. Bobu (in his role as the leader of the label) will earn a reputation as the #1 music NFT influencer, and the value of the Bobu brand IP will increase. The cost of building the infrastructure and maintaining the talent required for the project is $73.5k.
The proposal is to have Bobu create and run Alley Records, a decentralized music label and collaboration environment that allows Azuki musicians to co-create, complete, and distribute music. Alley Records will streamline collaboration between artists and allow the larger Azuki, Bean, and Bobu community to provide feedback to artists and to vote on which songs the label releases.
Bobu will enter a new chapter as a record label executive, and be able to post and engage with other music NFT enthusiasts. This will expose Bobu to a new group of people. Bobu token holders will use their tokens to vote on songs, and the label will periodically mint and distribute songs with the highest votes. Proceeds from these songs will be distributed to the musicians and to the Bobu treasury.
The investment required to bring Alley Records to life is $73.5k from the Bobu Treasury, which will support the development of Alley Records, four months of its operations, and two contest periods. The primary cost is to maintain the right talent to support Azuki artists as they create through Alley Records, which costs $16.6k per month.
Once Alley Records begins minting the winning songs from contests, the proceeds will be distributed to the musicians and the Bobu treasury. This will return funds to the treasury and ensure its financial sustainability.
The proposal is led by @mor3_so. The team behind Alley Records includes members with years of experience in vocals, production, A&R, and engineering. They have worked with Grammy Award-winning producers and artists, and they have a track record of creating successful music. Their collective skills and experience will help ensure the success of Alley Records.
The team’s first milestone would be the completion of the remote collaboration environment. After that’s approved by the Bobu Committee, Alley Records will move onto its first month of operations, which will cost a maximum of $16.6k. The team will meet with the Bobu Committee monthly to update on status. Monthly funding will be released on a majority Committee yes vote.
