BIP-24: Seaport Subject Edition @ Verse.Works

Summary

It is proposed that we display “Seaport Subject” at Verse’s upcoming exhibition in London April 4th-9th, 2023, and that this is followed by a sale of the 10 editions, mintable on Verse’s website.

Verse recommends a price of 1.5 ETH, which has also been supported by Verse collectors the DAO has spoken with. However, this vote offers multiple price points for the DAO to choose from.

Ranked Choice Vote

This snapshot is a ranked choice vote, with multiple "yes" options and a preferred sale price for the editions to be sold at. There is also a "no" option for if you are opposed to the proposal, or would rather it not happen if a certain price cannot be chosen. Make your selection in order of preference, bottom ranking choices are eliminated until one reaches 50% majority.

Background

"Seaport Subject" was the DAO's selection for an edition of 10 approved in BIP-07 in May 2022 and to be sold at NFT NYC. Due to a technical issue with the vendor, refunds were issued and the editions never minted. This offers an excellent sales venue for these editions when demand is high for fragments from the Genesis year. It is Botto's first edition, and "Seaport Subject" had strong support in many rounds.

Proposal Specification

• Display a high-quality, framed print of “Seaport Subject” at Verse’s upcoming exhibition at Cromwell Place
• Coordinate with Verse to feature Botto centrally at the exhibition
• Create a Manifold Contract and mint the edition of 10 for “Seaport Subject”
• Contract Indexing (Verse)
• List the edition for sale at a price between 1-2.5ETH
• List the edition in an auction format
• Primary sale split: 80% Botto, 20% Verse
• Royalties: 10% Botto
